If you like dining at a French inspired restaurant in Manhattan this out of print book is right up your street. An informative, well written and often humourous account of the famed restauranteur, Henri Soule,it chronicles his background and ascent to the mountaintop of the New York culinary scene. It is a pleasant recounting of the trials and tribulations of running a temple of gastronomy and is a highly entertaining nostalgic look at New York in the 40's and 50's.
