Don't let the butter or cream soup scare you. Most meals in Dinner in Minutes get 30 percent or less of their calories from fat. Insipid food is not a concern, either: Gassenheimer's cooking is appealingly flavorful. And, thanks to juggling a career with raising three sons, she has perfected the art of preparing meals with minimal effort.
Each includes the menu, plus a shopping list, a list of required staples, and the "Countdown," a listing of steps that, if followed in order, get your dinner on the table in 45 minutes, from the time you enter the kitchen to when the meal is on the table.
Since Dinner in Minutes can be useful for singles who entertain as well as for a bigger household, think of it for newlyweds and for anyone else setting up housekeeping. --Dana Jacobi --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Great for those at a loss with meal planning!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dinner in Minutes: Memorable Meals for Busy Cooks (Paperback)
This cookbook is a great resource. Most of the recipes I've tested are very flavorful and simple to prepare. The author seems to be fairly health conscious in the selections she put in this book. I also liked how the entire meal is planned for you and the author gives good tips on how to cut time in the kitchen.

Best Cookbook EVER,

This review is from: Dinner in Minutes: Memorable Meals for Busy Cooks (Paperback)
By far, the easiest cookbook I have ever used. Instead of individual recipes, it outlines entire meals, complete with shopping lists and order-of-preparation instructions. Every meal is fantastic, but I especially recommend the Chicken Papaya with Jamaican Beans & Rice. A MUST for all first time cooks and an invigorating boost for seasoned chefs.

quick recipes, creative, easy to fix, almost all are delicious. I'm here today ordering it (once again) as a wedding gift. One of the very best cookbooks on my shelf, and one I highly recommend.
