I can't believe, that this movie is not popular here in the states. In Germany (where I'm from) it is an "unwritten law" to watch this short movie on new years eve. It is really hilarious! A must see. Five Stars!

This short film is an absolute gem--the perfect combination of wit and slapstick. It really should be released on DVD so Americans can enjoy what the Germans have been enjoying for years!

A great classic. We have been watching this movie every New Years Eve for the past 30 years and we truly enjoy it every time. Excellent acting and very funny.

This is without a doubt one of the funniest skits I have ever seen. An old aristocratic lady fantasizes about having a dinner party with her old friends who are apparently deceased. The butler tries to fulfill her fantasies by "filling in" for each of them around the table. Unfortunately for him it involves "toasting" with wine for each of the imaginary guests. He gets more and more inebriated with each course of food as each requires another "toast" per guest. The butler becomes absolutely hilarious. I have shown this skit every New Year at our party and our friends beg for it each year. It is truly a classic. If we could only find it in a USA format!!

The funniest comedie I have ever seen for New Years. I love it totally!!!!!!

very sweet situation comedy and though I used to see this piece on New Years Eve for many years- i never grew tired of it. know the piece inside out, back to front and still it has me in stitches, gasping for air from laughing so hard, tear running down my face.
too bad it's not available in the US to buy:(

"Dinner For One" - just like the old days. I grew up watching that show every year on New Years eve. Missed it for a while, but will be enjoying it again - old habits die hard. I wasn't expecting modern dvd or hd/blu-ray quality so I am not disappointed in that regard, I just wanted to see the show again. If you enjoy watching the skit, I say get it. If you want it in very good or excellent video quality, you may want to pass on this one.

This film is hilarious. I watched it on new years eve in Denmark when I was an exchange student in 2004. I love it. Been trying to get a version of it here in the states for years.

This will play on a computer, not a US DVD player. This is one of the FUNNIEST skits I have ever seen. It was made in Britain.

Both dvds do not work at all when I put it in my dvd player. It is almost if there is nothing on the dvd. I need to return them for a full refund or get replacement eves that actually work!!!!
