4.0 out of 5 stars Great little book December 15, 2012
By rodman
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Great little book for quick and easy recipes, especially the one pot cooking. Would like to have seen a little more variety of recipes though but all in all not a bad little cookbook. The recipes are supposed to be easy and for the most part I agree. Great cookbook for making easy meals when you don't know what to do for dinner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recipes you can even teach hubby to cook December 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
We are always looking for new easy recipes in my house. I like things that my husband is willing to cook as well. It gives me a break from the kitchen. He requires that a recipe have a short list of ingredients, be not much work, and taste terrific when it is on the table. He should do fine with the recipes in this book. Slow cooker recipes are a favorite of mine, and there are several here that I am going to try. I think I will try the cowboy beans, super sweet corn bread, and creamy mushroom rice as well.

As the author of over 30 works, including a cookbook (Cooking Wild & Wonderful) I think I can speak with some authority when I say this is a great little book. I loved reading it and love the recipes. Don't miss it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Home cooking at its best! February 23, 2013
By M Colee
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I do believe I have just found my new "go to in a hurry" cookbook.
The recipes all seem easy enough for a beginner cook to make a great home cooked meal and just right for a more experienced cook to be able to change things/tweek if they want.
I really like the way she explains how to do things without making the reader/cook feel inferior.
I would recommend this cookbook for just about everyone. New/inexperienced cooks will gain confidence in their ability. More experienced cooks will appreciate some easy meals that make them look like they spent hours in the kitchen.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unoriginal January 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I could have gotten these recipes for free from a Campbell's soup can. Basically, get a cream soup, add meat and/or vegetables, maybe some noodles or rice, and throw cheese on top. There, I've saved you $2.99.

Easy and Simple this may be the case, but interesting or different it is not. I downloaded it hoping for some new recipes, but ended up removing it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cornbread Casserole Best Recipe March 14, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is not a big book. The recipes are standard but one makes it worth checking out. She has a wonderful Cornbread Casserole that will make you a baking queen. I have people always asking for it. Thanks Leslie!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for us August 26, 2013
By Tracy
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This cookbook doesn't have recipes our family will use. I misunderstood super easy to be non time consuming. Several recipes take several hours, if you made use of a slow cooker at least you wouldn't have to be in your kitchen monitoring the dish. Not a bad book, just doesn't fit our needs.

I think the author had fun writing this book, but it's the sort of food I throw together without the benefit of a recipe. Not excited.
