My three year old grandson loves everything about dinosaurs! The Dino Dan shows are great and I can't believe how much he's learned from it. He knows more dinosaur types than I've ever heard of and corrects my pronunciation too. It's a great show for kids and adults, entertaining and educational.

Ok, so I'm a dino loving adult and never heard of this show before spotting it here on amazon! I usually will watch anything with realistic looking CGI dinosaurs even if its a kids show, so when I saw this for a whole season for fairly cheap, I bit.

After watching several episodes all I can say is that adult dino lovers should stay away. The stories and acting are hard to take. In every episode Dino Dan finds some way of getting his friends, family or classmates (including the teacher) to do some dinosaur related experiment in which only Dino Dan somehow is the only person to actually see the dino's. This seems to go on every episode over and over and somehow everyone is diverted or has a blocked view and never see the dinosaurs.

The CGI dinos look decent, but the dinosaurs are often a ridiculously bright and florescent colored making them unbelievable looking.
I know, I know, it's a kids show, so maybe I'm being a little harsh, but even so I think they could be a little more creative in the story lines! And as I said this review is more for the adults, not kids.

As a child I watched "Land of the Lost" and now own the entire series on DVD. I still occasionally enjoy watching this as an adult for nostalgic reasons. Land of the Lost at least had fairly decent story lines and many episodes were written by famous Sci-Fi authors such as David Gerrold & Ben Bova. Dino Dan is no Land of the Lost!

Words Cannot Express how my my two year old loves this show...and how much I hate it. I hate Dino Dan more than any other show he watches. It annoys me. But he loves it and it is educational, so we end up watching it all the time. Unfortunately there is only one season, so you better hope you like the episodes, because they are all you are getting.

My dino fanatic 5 year old loves this show and has actually learned a lot about dinosaurs from it. Certainly not an absolute educational tool, but enough to spark interest in your dinosaur loving preschoolers.

My 2 year old grandson Loves this show. He asks for it by roaring. It keeps his interest, so that I can get a few chores done. The dinos seem realistic, and not scary. He can identify about 5 dinos in pictures now.

DINO DAN offers a delightful melding of live-action actors with CGI dinosaurs of various species -- from the ever-popular T-Rex to lesser-known saurians such as Stygimoloch and Edmontosaurus. Each episode presents a different aspect of paleontological lore featuring the latest discoveries in the field, such as feathers and fur on dinosaurs and (probable) behavioral patterns for both carnivores and herbivores. (Okay, with an occasional omnivore thrown in.)

My 6-year-old son, who is also a major DINOSAUR TRAIN (Q. V.) fan, loves this program, and I enjoy sitting down and watching the episodes with him. At this point, though, I should probably mention a relatively minor downside to the series: for the most part, the adults -- including parents, teachers, and paleontologists -- are portrayed as geeky, clueless, and rather stupid. It's a good idea to keep in mind, however, that this series is pure fantasy; otherwise, Dan's mother and teachers would have taken him to a child psychologist years ago. Relax and enjoy.

My four-year-old grandson is consumed with dinosaurs. He sleeps with his stuffed dinosaur, had a dinosaur birthday party and knows hundreds of interesting facts (and like another reviewer mentioned, my junior scientist will correct my pronunciation if I mispronounce the names.) He was interviewed for a prestigious academy and was asked about his interests. The interviewer could barely get another question asked, because he was so excited to pass on his wealth of knowledge. I am sure his acceptance was due, in part, to his enthusiasm for learning. Thank you, Dino Dan. As an additional perk, it is a program I love to sit and watch it with him whenever I visit. I am now downloading the shows so that I can share them with additional grandchildren.
