5.0 out of 5 stars Dino-Fun May 20, 2011

We are big fans of the Dino-Sports series. We are a family of hockey fans and the original Dino-Hockey got us hooked. However, we are most certainly not fans of basketball (the sport) at all. I was surprised to find that my son remembered that Dino-Basketball (or Dino-Hoops, as it's called in the previous book) was the next in the series. When his birthday rolled around I completely forgot about Dino-Basketball before it was too late. He actually asked about it after his birthday and I'm sure it was something he would have loved to open. Luckily for us though, pre-school "graduation" (that's a stretch, I know) was right around the corner. So, my Dino-Sports fan was very pleased to have the latest addition to the series for his special gift. He loves it and asks for it three or four times a week. Hey, it even taught me some vocabulary. I would have just said "between the players", but that's why I don't write books. ;) The last two nights before bed we sat around and discussed what other Dino-Sports we could potentially see. I'm not lying here, I'd love to see Dino-Criket... seriously.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a fun way to learn about basketball May 6, 2011
Format:School & Library Binding
What a fun book! Lisa Wheeler does a great job with her rhyme using the dino names. The book not only teaches kids the names of some dinosaurs, but also about the game of basketball. This is a great book to get children not interested in reading, reading. I can't wait for the Dino Football book to come out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! November 28, 2011
Format:School & Library Binding|Amazon Verified Purchase
My son loves rhyming books and dinosaurs - and this has both. I also like that the book is true to the rules of the game, teaching about the sport as well as making it fun and exciting with the nonscary dinosaur characters. All of the books in this series are a must!

5.0 out of 5 stars Major hit with my nephews January 25, 2013
Format:School & Library Binding|Amazon Verified Purchase
I got "Dino-Hockey" a couple years ago for my nephews as a gift and they (ages 7 and 4) are addicted to it, so I was psyched to find more dino-sport books. They absolutely love them, and I am a big fan of books and reading, so anything that gets them excited about reading is a major "win" for me. Recommended for rambunctious boys who might appear to prefer video games and sports in general.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son LOVES these books!! January 23, 2013
Format:School & Library Binding
I have a 3 and a half year old son, and his most favorite things in the world are Dinosaurs and Sports. This series by Lisa Wheeler could not have been more perfect for him! When I saw Dino-Basketball and Dino-Baseball at the Library, I knew we had to read them. We took them home with us and my husband and I read them to him probably 4 times each just the first day. The books are written in rhyme, which is awesome because my son was able to memorize both books by the time we returned them to the library the following week. Since then, we have read the rest of the books in the series except Dino-Soccer. The books are imaginative, fun, and educational (teaches which dinosaurs are herbivores and which are carnivores, as well as some sports terminology). I highly recommend them to any sports or dino fan out there! We love, love, love them in this house!!

Along with all the other books in this series it teaches children about
the different dinosaur families and which are the meat eaters and
which are not. It is fun and educational.
