5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun for small kids
I bought this along with several other kids' CD-ROM games when I decided to get a PC for my kids (2 and 3). This was one of the older titles and has pretty crude graphics by today's standards, so I didn't have the highest initial opinion of it. But over the months it has become the kids' clear favorite. There are lots of games that even my 2-year-old, with very rough...

3.0 out of 5 stars Problems with Windows 7 RC
This game installs well, wants to know you name and email but works without actually registering with an open Internet connection. However, the graphics are not working well on Windows 7 RC. Dinosaurs would have color bleed of pixellated greens and reds in the middle of the body, the sky and background suddenly start having this color problem and not related to the...

I bought this along with several other kids' CD-ROM games when I decided to get a PC for my kids (2 and 3). This was one of the older titles and has pretty crude graphics by today's standards, so I didn't have the highest initial opinion of it. But over the months it has become the kids' clear favorite. There are lots of games that even my 2-year-old, with very rough mousing skills, can master (BoneBuilder is his favorite). My 3-year-old has covered all the areas of the game but keeps coming back, she has shown no signs of getting bored of it. I think at that age there is still a high tolerance for repetition?

Anyway, for the low price tag, this is a sure winner for smaller children.

5.0 out of 5 stars FUN FUN FUN!!!!!, November 27, 2006
This review is from: Dinosaur Adventure 3-D (Video Game)
This is probably the best educational game I've played about Dinosaurs. It's really fun. There are many games to chose from that involves Dinosaur games. There are three settings: Jurassic, Crateous, and Triassic Period. When you view the folder of this game, they have activities for little kids which I thought it was clever. I know people love dinos so get this game! The best game ever!

My son 5 and daughter 3 love dinosaurs and this is the first game I got them. The activities are educational - map making, bone building, etc. Even when my daughter had just turned 2, she could play the bone builder activity. There are harder sections that my almost 5 year old is still working towards. Also a nice plus, it doesn't have annoying music or boring stories between activities.

My son is very easily bored and is also very bright for his age. Dinosaur Adventure keeps him engaged and lets him explore a dinosaur land and not just perform simple learning games. We love it!

My 3 year old is into all things dinosaur right now and I thought that this would be a good activity for him. It has completely surpassed my expectations. The point of the game is that you are on an island trying to find hidden eggs for different kinds of dinosaurs that will help you defeat the T-Rex. The island it broken into three paleologic periods (Jurassic, Triassic, and Cretaceous). In order to hatch the eggs that you find you must complete activities to earn hatching crystals. Some of these activities include bone builder (putting skeletons together), connect-a-cave (using puzzle pieces to make a path from you to the stranded dino), and other intellectually stimulating activities.

All in all it is a very stimulating game and one where we have to govern the time playing a day or my son would play all day. Also, it's not a win and never want to play again game. My son keeps coming back to try and beat the T-Rex again. Because the graphics aren't the greatest and sometimes gliches in XP and due to the fact that the disc must remain in the drive to play I give it a 9 out of 10.

This game installs well, wants to know you name and email but works without actually registering with an open Internet connection. However, the graphics are not working well on Windows 7 RC. Dinosaurs would have color bleed of pixellated greens and reds in the middle of the body, the sky and background suddenly start having this color problem and not related to the amount of motion involved in that particular sequence of screenplay. Something about DirectX 11 of Windows 7 RC? Just guessing. By the way, OpenGL was functioning perfectly at full speed (Furmark 6000) when I observed this.

My granddaughter had asked for a 3-D book for Christmas. I only found about 2 and did not think she would be interested in either. On a chance, I ordered this game for her. She and I have had a great time playing. Since she is only 6, I showed her how it worked and we both have enjoyed it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A blast in the past, December 10, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Dinosaur Adventure 3-D (Video Game)
I am almost 15 years old, and I can still remember the amount of fun I had playing this game when I was little. I used to go on long adventures with the cast of this game, learning about all sorts of dinosaurs. In fact, I will shamelessly admit that the main character of the game inspired my very first imaginary friend. I would spend seemingly endless hours of my time playing this game, and loving every second of it. It never got dull.
Today, when I saw that they still sold this game, I did a little digging and found my old copy of it. I actually plan on spending the day remembering my childhood by playing it again. (If I can get it to install that is)
I highly recomend this game, you're kids will love it.
