I am live in the ancient town of Sherborne, Dorset, in England, with my Bookseller and Songwriter wife Helen..
I have six children, Rowan, Felix, Gus, Kit, Arthur and Tabitha.
For the past few years, despite a rigorous publishing schedule, I have spent as much time as I can out on the road, giving inspirational talks and fun drawing and pop-up workshops to children (and their parents!) in schools, libraries and literary festivals, from Edinburgh, Cheltenham and Glastonbury.

I have worked in the UK, Italy and America, in a great diversity of settings, the more challenging the better!
The visits start with the simplest of readings, through explanations of the process of creating and producing a children's book, to drawing workshops and hands on pop-up workshops. I am happy to work with all sizes of groups. I have found working with children with special needs to be particularly rewarding.
I am a passionate advocate for the world of children's books and as the years pass, I have become more and more drawn to working with and empowering young children to expand their creativity through this magical world.

I bought this because my 3-year old son's favorite book is Dinosaur Roar! in the same series. I suppose I was expecting some cute poems or actions/voices we could do, but it just lists the color on each page. My son still really likes it, but it isn't really a book we can read so much as just show him which color is which. It is a good variety of colors though.

My 10 month-old loves this book! He usually wants to read it over and over. Each page features a different colored dinosaur with the color word printed boldly at the top (simply "RED"). I insert the word "dinosaur" after the color word, so there's a bit more "reading" to be done. The dinosaurs are very cute and friendly looking, most of them smiling. The last page askes, "How many colors have you seen?"

My son loved the Dinosaurs Roar book by the same authors; it was a bit of a disappointment to find that many of the drawings are the same in the two books. I was hoping for new dinosaurs and a more rich book. This book was not as loved as the other one.

Used this to teach my son colors. He loved the book so he wanted me to read it all of the time. Great fun and great learning tool.

This book works well for teaching colors to dinosaur loving boys. Both of my children have "read" and enjoyed this book. The 4 year old has outgrown it, but my 2 year old is still learning. Each page only has one word on it, the featured color, so if you are looking for a storybook... this is not it. The dinosaur pictures are cute, and not too scary. The only "mean" one is the orange one... my kids said he looks like a dinosaur tiger.
