This is a great book for showing fair trades of unequal items. Different people value different cards, and the brothers trade up, always going for that elusive T.Rex card.
Awesome family dynamics -- that's one of the best things about Stuart J. Murphy. His books always teach the math concepts very clearly and concretely (and memorably!) ps -- this is a great book for explaining about basic economies, like in frontier towns. If people are paying the doctor in chickens, or paying the teacher with free room and board, are those good equivalents? |
