From School Library Journal
K-Gr 3-4-Petersen begins with a brief overview of the age of dinosaurs before discussing the discovery of the hillside quarry near the Green River in Utah that later became a national monument. He goes on to cover the park's other attractions-the museum, rafting on the Green and Yampa Rivers, camping, prehistoric Indian art, wildlife, and various geological wonders. Short paragraphs, large type, controlled vocabulary, and plentiful full-color and black-and-white photographs make this a worthwhile, high-interest addition to the series.-Pamela K.
