Beautiful book,

This is a beautiful book. The illustrations are gorgeous.The story is simple, but filled with facts about dinosaurs. My kids (all under age 7) love it. At the end of the story there are additional dinosaur facts, including something rare in children's books -- a short list of dinosaurs broken down by epoch (Jurassic and Cretaceous) to show which dinosaurs lived when.

When my daughter was three and crazy for dinosaurs we checked this book out of the library dozens of times.She's now 15 and we finally bought it for nostalgia's sake.Good artwork,lots of information,and one of the few dinosaur books where the animals are shown in a natural setting.Doesn't "talk down" to the reader.
