There is a reason why scholars in technical fields are required to submit their work to peer reviewed journals. The reason is that a community of experts is best equipt to evaluate the methodology and factual basis of the claims made by an individual like Hovind. His reasoning "makes sense" and "sounds scientific" only because he is able to twist the facts and misrepresent what truly goes on in scientific discussion. His explanation of how scientists calculate the distance to the stars, for example, is simply incorrect. Hovind (in one video in his series- maybe not this one) correctly argues that 11th grade trigonometry cannot establish that the stars are millions of light-years away. He is incorrect, however, that 11th grade trig is what scientists use to calculate these things. Rather, they use advanced trigonometric principles, which have been peer-reviewed in mathematical journals by expert mathematicians/scientists. Now, one would not know this by watching Hovind, and one might think he was being "scientific" if one does not read math journals. This is why we have experts to point us in the right direction, and why we should approach pseudo-scientists (like Hovind, whose mail correspondance PhD is in "Christian Education") with care. This is not meant to be "mean" to Hovind, only to warn people against believing that he is some sort of authority.

I was 100% for Evolution and millions of years and got into hot debates with "ignorant" christians who denied them (notice my pre-conceived ad hominen attack). I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and my "scientific" mind refused to even consider the option that those theories were not true (now I know I had been indoctrinated and was blinded by my own pride).

That was until I was introduced to Mr. Hovind's videos 4-1/2 years ago, along with some other creationist books. At first I watched/read them in order to debunk and ridicule their faulty reasoning and interpretation of the data (evidence), but the more I watched/read, the more I found flaws with the Evolutionary theory and the more I became convinced that the biblical model of creation was the best way to interpret the data.

Some disagree with some of Dr. Hovind's views or his way of presenting the truth, but if you can see the argument without being side-tracked by that, you will profit much from his videos (I know I have).

Though children everywhere are indoctrinated that dinosaurs are proof for "scientific" evolution and that they are extinct, this little video will make you think twice. There is plenty of proof here from the remote, undeveloped regions of the earth that dinosaurs are rare, endangered, and reclusive, but that they are not all dead. Dr. Kent Hovind even shows a stuffed juvenile specimen that was found on a lake shore.

While his wit is not quite my style the REASONING is VERY SCIENTIFIC. FACTS don't lie. The question is: How do you interpret the facts? How can you make an informed decision without all the facts? Here are some facts you may not have heard before.

This is an excellent video. Kent Hovind explains a lot about dinosaurs, and he really makes sense. As a Christian, it was helpful to me to watch a scientific discussion about the dinosaurs. Most of the so called scientific discussion on dinosaurs is evolution based with the "millions of years ago" frame. This point of view is not scientific at all, and takes more faith to believe than creation does. My Children love dinosaurs, but it is hard to find any children's books about them that don't include the lie of evolution. The video was especially helpful in giving me the tools to knowledgably answer my children's questions about the dinosaurs. Yes they were created on day six. Yes they were on the ark with Noah. Whatever happened to them since then? Well that answer is longer in the running than this review will be, but is answered in the video. Thank you Dr. Hovind for this video.

This video is great for families who want to make their children believe a certain religious doctrine. But, only if they do not mind deceiving their own children with claims that can easily be debunked with minimal research. Hovind has made millions of dollars by firing off hundreds of "facts" at audiences that do not know enough about the related science to see through the sham. If any other viewers of this video think it's full of facts, they need only choose two or three claims and research them in their local library. For example, they'll find that he takes quotations out of context, making the viewer think a respected scientist has refuted evolution. Looking up the full quotes reveals the speaker was actually making a strong point in favor of evolution. Hovind has no qualms about such deceptions, having used them in numerous videos and public appearances over the years. Even his numbers and dates are frequently way off target. Of course, the broader point is that his underlying claim has no supporting evidence. He can only try to trick viewers into thinking every scientist, professor, geologist and physicist on earth is lying because they're controlled by demons.

continued research and maybe we can send
him a few Fulfilled Prophesy books and get
him straightened out the rest of the way!

I found this video to be fascinating and imformative. Yes, people will watch it and still argue that evolution is the incontravertible fact, but the presenter covers that as well.
I had heard many of the facts for creation at times, but never documented together this completely. The research is backed up by plenty of evidence and from scientific sources and definitely secular sources.
Yes it is presented by a Christian minister, but he is also a former science teacher. Yo do not have all the facts until you have watched this video. I can not wait to see others in the series.

This video will convince even the most skeptical that dinosaurs are still alive and well on planet earth TODAY!

Completely unscientific! Dinosaurs (except for birds) became extinct 65 million years ago!!!! I hate it when people contradict science! If you want to by something on dinosaurs, by something based on evidence or by a scuientist and not based on inagination!
