I stumbled upon this one on sale at one of those discount department store places. What a great find! Each page features one type of dinosaur- one for each letter of the alphabet, what time period it lived during (Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous), a pronunciation guide for its' name, a fact or two about the dinosaur, a symbol to determine if it was a plant eater or meat eater, and a map of the globe and where the dinosaur lived. It also teaches the terms sauropod, hadrosaur and theropod.

My favorite parts are the plant-eater and meat-eater symbols on each page. My 4 and 5 year old really seem to enjoy being able to distinguish something about the dinosaurs on their own since they are only beginning readers.

The only downsides for me were that the book doesn't teach the terms carnivore and herbivore but rather plant-eater and meat-eater. And if your children are not familiar with the Dinosaur Train characters they might be confused on the few pages that feature the name of a character on the show in addition to dinosaur facts.

However, that would not stop me from buying this again and I certainly recommend it. It's a fabulous book, very sturdy, colorful and informative. Probably best for the attention span of ages 3 and up if you're concerned about teaching. It's a bit busy and has a lot of words for the younger ones.

A great supplement to homeschool curriculum or just as a fun educational book.

This book is a MUST-HAVE for any fan of the PBS kids show Dinosaur Train, or for any kiddo who loves dinosaurs. It has fun pictures of dinosaurs beginning with every letter of the alphabet. My 3 y/o reads it over and over and over; it is for sure in his top 5 favorite go-to books. He can "wow" all our family/friends with his knowledge of BIG dinosaur names!! :)

My 4 year old daughter has been watching dinosaur train every day for almost 4 months now. So the book was a huge hit. It is a nice companion to the show, but might be difficult to understand or read if you don't watch the show. It was really exciting to watch her name some of the more obscure dinosaurs from sight. It is educational, well put together, and has great illustrations.

My son loves all things dinosaurs, and Dinosaur Train is his favorite show. I saw this while looking through Dinosaur Train items and decided on it because watching the episode this book comes from is how he's been learning his alphabet. It's perfect. The pages are study, my son is two and it's perfect for him. The pictures are great, and if you're child is a fan of the show this is a great compliment!!

More than I expected, colors are bright perfect for the board book age. Really has 26 dinosaurs one for each letter of the alphabet. Phonetic dinosaur names with the normal spelling helps when I have no idea about these dinos. I do wish it had all dinosaurs that are in the dinosaur train. I have a feeling I will be reading this everytime I see my grandson who loves reading and loves dinosaurs.

This book is the best! Great pictures and amazing info! My 20 month old grandson spends a surprising amount of time 'studying' the pictures and never lots it get too far away. Adults can learn a lot as each page gives information about every dinosaur featured. This book will offer years of enjoyment!

We absolutely love this book. My two year old little boy loves dinosaurs and this book is full of great information. I really like the fact they have the pronunciations of the dinosaur names. My son really impresses everyone when he starts naming the dinosaurs off now:)

Very cute book. My little girl is 9 months old and loves the singing in the kids show Dinosaur Train. So we got the book and now as she grows up we can "sing along" with the show. lol I never knew there were dinosaurs for every letter of the alphabet.
