PreSchool-Grade 3 A variety of tips for young travelers, with journeys that range from the ordinary (a roller skating trip around the block) to the exotic (an airplane ride around the world). The busy dinosaurs who populate the pages offer helpful hints on getting ready, what to pack, means of locomotion (cab, boat, airplane, on foot, etc.); and gentle reassurances about what to expect. The advice is practical and straightforward, but the three or four illustrations on each page are delightfully sillysmall dinosaurs riding an elephant, six dinosaurs in a bed while staying with relatives. Advice is current (``only pack a few toys, games, books, and tapes''), and the book is totally child orientated. Dinosaurs Travel: A Guide For Families On The Go, by Laurie and Marc Brown (of the Arthur series as well as other kids books), is a cute book on the travel experience...as experienced by a family of dinosaurs! Don't forget your Stegosaurus Shampoo! Ride your bike to Tar Pit State Park! Laugh at the signs you see ("Eat Here. Get Gas.") Check through security on Pterosaurs Air! And, of course, never go off with a stranger.

We bought this book to share with kids ready to travel. It is both a great book (with entertaining illustrations) to read to children, as well as a good good for kids to read to themselves. Enjoy.
