Perfection!,
By
This review is from: Dior DiorShow Mascara (Misc.)
This is the perfect mascara..... my search is over. After trying just about every mascara on the market this is the best in show. Now I know why the Sephora that I always go to never has any black in stock.
This mascara gives you full, thick, beautiful lashes and it doesn't clump, flake or smear. You can even rub your eye when it itches and there is no dark smear under your eye. I am happy to report that I can dispose of the 7 other mascaras in my makeup bag as this is the only one that I will be using from now on. I have tried every kind and brand of mascara that I thought might make my whimpy lashes look full: Borjouis, Benefit, Stilla, Urban Decay, Revlon, Loreal, Cover Girl, Almay, Max Factor, you name it and I have tried it. The only mascara that I had purchased more than once is the Loreal Voluminous mascara and my old faithful Borjouis Volume Glamour mascara (the one with the pink lid) both of which work well but are missing something. Now I have one that's perfect and I don't need to try any new ones, I will definitely purchase this mascara again.

Want the Look of False Eyelashes?,

This mascara is incredible. One coat is the equivelent of two or three other brands. I usually put on three or four since I'm an eyelash diva and always have to have the dramatic show stopping lashes. If you're like me, then this mascara is for you. Warning: not to be used by those who want to look like Plain Jane.

I've worn mascara since I was a teenager. If a quarter century of buying & wearing the stuff means anything, then the fact that this is the best I've ever used means something, too.
Yes, it's more expensive than the teeny-wanded stuff that flakes or smudges off within an hour, leaving you looking droopey-eyed or worse. I purchased this in Azure and literally have lost track of the number of compliments I've received on it: It's not the cheesy blue of the 1970s--this is a luxurious tanzanite blue (one that a friend noticed matched my motorcycle leathers).

Before you purchase this beauty tool...,

If you're looking ONLY for eyelash volume, definitely get this XXL-wanded-mascara. However, if you've got short and minimal eyelashes like me (common among Asian females), try something else. I thought since most of the reviews on here praise the item so much, I'd give it a try. It works well for volume, but not length. So, look at what you want first before purchasing.

No need for falsies!,

Well I've heard other people hype this up to heaven but remained somewhat sceptical. Thick, full lashes with one sweep? Are they for real?
Yes is the short answer. One coat of this wonder mascara is really all you need. Unlike the (many) other mascaras I've tried, this doesn't clump - on your eyes or in the tube. As for two coats - whoa! The full on fake lashes effect takes hold for nights out. What else can I say? This truly is the brilliants mascara I've ever come across!!

I read all the wonderful reviews for this mascara and decided I might as well try it. I've tried everything from Maybelline Lash Discovery to Shisheido Lasting Lift mascara. I still haven't found one that I'm completely satisfied with.
Diorshow definitely adds a ton of volume and length, but it sucked at curling my eyelashes. I'm Asian with thin and straight eyelashes that I usually use a heated eyelash curler to curl. The moment I put Diorshow on my eyelashes, my curl drooped and I was back to having really straight eyelashes. I was honestly very disappointed. If you're not Asian and already have not-super-thin eyelashes, this is probably a good product for you. Or, if curl your eyelashes AFTER applying the mascara, then it's not so bad (although it's best to curl before applying mascara; at least, that's how I do it). So for now, I still try curling beforehand, apply the mascara, watch it droop, get sad, then try curling again and it's...okay. I'll probably try buying the waterproof version and see if it holds my curl better (supposedly waterproof mascara doesn't weigh down lashes as much?) So, basically: Overhyped by the reviews, probably not the ideal mascara for Asian eyes.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! (and that's a lot of pennies...),
This review is from: Dior DiorShow Mascara (Misc.)
I am a mascara junkie. I *love* mascara and lipgloss, and I am always looking for worthwhile products that fulfill the claims in the commercials. I have tried practically *every* mascara that comes out in search of "the one" and I am usually left disappointed.
When I read the reviews for Diorshow I thought to myself, "yeah right, uh-huh, whatever". I was planning out my negative review before I even tried it! I knew it couldn't live up to the hype. Then it arrived in the mail. Seriously, when I put it on my one eye this morning I looked like a "before" and "after" advertisement for false eyelash extensions. My short, light brown, thin lashes are now dark, lush, long and delightful. The huge brush is exactly what is missing from most mascaras - it makes all the difference in creating thick, long, dramatic lashes. Spending $23 on mascara is a sin, but I don't care... I am going to hell with *gorgeous* lashes!!!

Really good mascara,
After using supposedly the best drug store mascara for years and looking like a racoon at the end of the day, I saw this in a listmania list and all the 5 star ratings got me to buy it. I was a little nervous about it not being waterproof, because I wear contacts and I tear a lot, but it doesn't seem to matter. This mascara is great. Lashes look a little thicker and longer, but the big thing is by the end of the day, your lashes still look good and no racoon. AND absolutely no flaking, smudging, or racooning even when I tear. Your lashes aren't going to magically thicken or grow, but you will still look great by the end of the day.

I would have never thought....I've never been a big fan of Dior, but this mascara is terrific. I have naturally long eyelashes but since I have light hair the tips are really light. For some reason though I can never get any other mascara to make my eyes look like this does. My lashes look longer than I ever even imagined them to be and even looks better than false eyelashes. It didn't take much either. I just put on 1-2 coats and I dont sit there piling it on like I do with other mascaras trying to get the look I want. Plus, this holds the curl REALLY well. This is very pricey stuff but its definitely worth it.
