The grand wizard of classic rock. A poet of hope for the downtrodden. The single most important vocal technician in the history of heavy metal. All of these accolades have been garlanded upon the royal roar known as Ronnie James Dio.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible sound and performance!, February 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Dio's Inferno The Last In Live (Audio CD)
There has never been a live cd by Dio, besides Intermission which was rather lame with the exception of the new studio track Time To Burn which made up for the lameness of the live materia.Vinnie Appice's drumming is truly incredible on this album, listen to it with the headphones on to get the shear magnitude of his intense playing. Dio sounds stronger than ever and Tracy G is one hell of a guitarist. Larry, you are great also. High points include Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules. However, Rainbow in the Dark, Last in Line and Stand Up and Shout kick maximum booty! A must have cd

4.0 out of 5 stars Rainbow in the Dark, February 5, 2000
This review is from: Dio's Inferno The Last In Live (Audio CD)
After following Dio for twenty five years, this album catches the magic and personna of "DIO". Even after all these years, this album demonstrates the evolution and maturity of Ronnie coming into his own, while providing a broad history of his music. It captures his unique style of personal involvement with his fans, so lacking in todays' stars. While listening to this disc, I can close my eyes, and be transported to magical places of Knights in shining armor riding down ramparts to do battle with mystical dragons. Also, this disc brings up vivid memories of being part of a special event during his concerts. He makes each individual feel like he is singing to them personally. He truly does make you feel like your a intrigal part of the event. This disc also shows that Dio has "come" into his own. His voice has grown more strong over the years, and hasn't forgot his fans. The only draw back to this album of course, is that you want to here him play every song. He truly does make you feel like your a "Man on a Silver Mountain."

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool, August 24, 2005
By
This review is from: Dio's Inferno The Last In Live (Audio CD)
Dio is one of my favourite vocalists of all time and this CD goes through most of the tracks on his best Solo album (Holy Diver), Dio also covers some of his classic Sabbath/Rainbow tracks. Well worth buying and playing loud and in the car at speed.
