5.0 out of 5 stars well-composed introduction to diplomacy, June 21, 2010
This is an excellent book with highly readable prose. It is covering almost all the important traits of diplomacy - i.e. the art of negotiation, embassies, consulates, diplomacy without diplomatic relations. I especially liked the historical examples that the author provides within the text without moving away from the topic. Because I liked the examples I decided to read his other work "British Diplomacy in Turkey, 1583 to the Present.
