5.0 out of 5 stars Good buy
I was in a bind. I had the original antenna go out on me. I called Sirius and thankfully they were not in stock with what came with my S50. So i got on Amazon and read reviews. It looks like everyone has issues with their original antenna. The 14105 Antenna was a cheap way to go to get what i needed. 3.0 out of 5 stars Satellite Radio Car Antenna
I purchased this as a replacement for the the antenna that came with my receiver. The price here was cheaper than through the manufacturer and cheaper than other car antennas on the market. That said, the performance has been somewhat disappointing. I now encounter far more "dead spots" driving around town and I can no longer receive a signal in my garage. Nothing...

I needed an antenna quick because i was traveling on vacation and needed it ASAP. I took a chance on this antenna (was a little nervous, I thought it looked generic) I hooked the antenna up the same way as the other and it worked great and continues to work smoothly. I would recommend buying the 14105 Antenna before trying to look for a more expensive model

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Sirius low profile, August 2, 2007

I have gone through two "Sirius low profile" antennas and they only last 6 months to a year before they start to lose signal and eventually quit working. This antenna has a srtonger signal from the start and a slightly "beefier" design. Hopefully it will last a long long time. I hope this helps someone pick this over the low profile design.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best satellite radio antenna of them all, October 10, 2007

I have had Sirius radio for years now and owned many items including multiple antennas. This one wins hands down- either for your car or your home. This is the 2nd antenna of this kind I own, this one is used with my home docking kit, the other on the car of course. The wire is quite thin, so it's easily put into window/door seals and also can be put just about anywhere and will pick up a signal, ie: on the ground, the roof, placed on the edge of your deck, ect. It's also much smaller than all the other "home antennas" which for the most part never work anyway. This small antenna will pick up strong signals anywhere even near a building/structure.

Bought this antenna to replace the prior one that came with my Sportster IV Sirius radio. The new car I bought came installed with XM which sucks compared to Sirius.

As others have commented, the original Sirius antenna just wouldn't work after about a year. So far so good on this replacement. Highly recommended.

This little magnetic antenna
works fine. No fuss, no muss,
just put it on your roof,
run the wire to the Sirius
radio unit, and bingo,
superior reception...
I have had it for about a
year, don't even think about it,
just use it over and over again.
No problems.

This plugged in to my Sirius unit (old one, but was not a problem, thanks to the unchanged connector) and provided the expected signal. Works as expected. Has a shallow body, which is nice.

The original equipment, an externally mounted Sirius 14120 Dot Ultra-Low-Profile Car Antenna, died after about a 1.3 year's life. While searching for its replacement, I read the reviews for this option, the Sirius 14105 Car Antenna. Suitably impressed, I purchased this alternative. Not looking forward to paying for its installation, I was able to simply attach the antenna to the radio, leave it inside the car (positioned in the center and at the base of my Subaru Forester's windshield), with the wire secured within the "relatively useless" dashboard's central storage compartment. It continues to provide a superb, uninterrupted signal since purchasing it over 4 months ago. Thanks to those folks who took the time to write the reviews! And, kudos to Amazon.com for their efficient handling and shipping of this item.

The product worked exactly as advertised. Low profile, great reception--even from the inside of my car where I used it until installed it correctly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sick of junk Sirius Satelite antennas, January 11, 2008
This review is from: Directed Electronics 14105 Car Antenna (Electronics)
Sick of junk Sirius Satelite antennas? This may be the one for you. This is my fourth sirius antenna in a one year period. I have more money in junk antennas than I have in my Serius subscription. This may be the one that ends my misery.I live in the North East and these junk antennas do not hold up. This has lasted the longest so far.Quality apears to be good and the reseption is great. So for now I'm happy.
