The book is the definitive authority on executive recruiters, September 17, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Directory of Executive Recruiters 1998 (Directory of Executive Recruiters) (Paperback)
This is the best directory for executive recruiters for several reasons: recruiters are listed by retainer or contingency, sorted by functions, industries, specialty, and indexed by key principals or geographical location. Specific information about individual recruiters may contain web sites and e-mail addresses as well as other locations nationwide. I preferred to send resumes via the internet because it is instant and free, and I believe that the recruiter can see that I have a grasp on technology. I also purchased The Guide to Executive Recruiters by Michael Betrus, but it could not compare to The Directory's overall content, sorting abilities, and organization. This book is probably worth more than its weight in gold!

Best resource for finding for jobs through headhunters, May 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Directory of Executive Recruiters 1998 (Directory of Executive Recruiters) (Paperback)
As a salesperson, I have used Kennedy's Directory of Executive Recruiters for over 5 years, and have mailed at least 3,000 resumes using Kennedy's data. The data is fairly current when considering the turnover in the executive search business, and has shown only about 3% error in terms of returned resumes due to bad addresses. I have experience an additional 1%-3% error in resumes returned because the recruiter does not specialize in the industry or occupation Kennedy claims they do. If you are willing to relocate, this is the most effective method I have found for experienced professionals to source multiple job opportunities across the country or around the world.

This directory is the most comprehensive and up to date database of executive recruiters I've come across. Executive recruiters I have spoken with call Kennedy's Directory "The Red Book" or "The Bible". I now understand why..
