After seeing how much my friend's 3 year old son enjoyed cleaning with this nifty little vaccuum, I bought one for my son who likes to help clean. It is lightweight, has a long cord, and the end pieces can be removed so you can use it like a dustbuster. Now, he can vacuum his own room, and help with messes around the house. The only drawback is the small capacity of the chamber, but it is easy enough to empty. He loves it, it is easy to handle, and he helps clean, definately worth the price!

But only 4 1/2 stars for power. This is the vacuum I use "in between" pulling out the heavy monster that practically sucks the curtains out of the windows! But it is a good, practical tool. Add the 1/2 star back if you think shiny red vacuums are cute. You certainly can't beat the price!

The other (2) reviewers summed up Dirt Devil's Swift Stick well. This tool should only be considered for light duty, the small motor does not have the oomph for efficient whole house cleaning but is very convenient for quick floor dustings without large or heavy particles to pick up. I have vacuumed my whole house with it but it entails frequent emptying of the dust collector and clearing the filter which gets to be a drag. Suction quickly drops to next to useless if one doesn't. I'd like the cord to be longer by a couple of feet also.
The plusses are that it is very light, simple and quick to empty, and a lot more handy than a full-blown vacuum cleaner for small tasks. Keeping in mind its limitations it deserves four stars, especially at the price.

this dirt devil stick is great. picks up dog hair ,and lint on my microsuede couch. love it price was right too. am going to buy another for the seconf floor....

Tried this out on hardwood and tile floors. Was displeased at the lack of power this thing has and ended up returning it.

A vac stick is so much better than a broom. I have severe emphisema and a broom just stirs up the dust. The vac stick sucks it up, making it alot healthier for me.

A household broom is a more effective cleaning tool than this lame vacuum. It's poorly designed. The wheels are miniscule and it makes a lot of noise. It does not pick up lint or dust well. Sometimes lint escapes from the side vents as you're vacuuming! One of the worst experiences I've had with a household appliance.
