Knock on wood, it's been 5 months and this vacuum is still working. Unlike the last vacuum (a hoover windtunnel) that I paid $350 for, that only last a year until it blew out and would cost $250 to replace. Anyway, this vacuum is very light and sucks up very well in my opinion. We have a LOT of cat hair and it works great. This machine is a bit loud, but what vacuum isnt'? I had a kirby that was pretty loud and weighed about 10 times more than this one. This vacuum is well worth the money.

This vaccuum is extremely loud. After, 9 months the motor died and it is cheaper to get another vaccuum that replace the motor. I am shopping for a new vaccuum now. I don't recommend this at all!!!

I am very pleased with this machine, it is light enough to be able to get in hard to reach areas.It comes with a good selection of onboard tools,very bright headlight,this is a great unit,very powerful I am very pleased. sincerely one very happy customer...

This vacuum is very loud, while the suction is not good either. With such bad suction, you have to vacuum the same areas 2-3 times in order for it to pick up the dirt and dust...

I'm very pleased with my Featherlite. The floor cleaning is very good. Picks up crumbs, hair, uh - legos, and everything else. Don't know why some others are complaining. I just retired a Hoover Windtunnel Bagless (which also seemed to clean well) and this one cleans every bit as well. The foot pedal is a bit akward and it's very noisy. However, mine cleans well, is very light/manuverable, and the price was right (~$40). If it dies after the 2 year warranty I'm o.k. with it ;)

I don't have this exact model but one just like it. It doesn't have a lot of power. It can't pick up things like a little piece of napkin off the floor. Also for it to pick up crumbs, I have to go back and forth over it many times. My best friend bought one also and says the same thing. I've had to take it apart to clean it many times. Hair gets caught and every so often it has a burning smell. I'm unhappy and so is my friend and we haven't owned them long. We are looking to buy new vacuums.

in response to the last review, I have a featherlite bagless and it works fine. It has a two year warranty on parts and the motor, so if it burned out after 9 months, you could have very easily gotten it replaced for very little money. And if you read the manual people, it gives very detailed instructions on how to solve any problem you might have.
