Nice vacuum for the price. More cleaning power than expected. Easy clean of dirt cup. Very satisfied. Would buy again.

we've had this thing for years! While the wires have been spliced together and the vac no longer stands up on it's own, it still does the job! We've bought 2 other hoovers and always go back to this one, we just can't throw it away! We have wood floors and it's the only vac that picks up all our pet hair plus some! For the money and power, you can't go wrong. Not sure how it is on carpet, but seems to do the rugs just fine!

I would like to start off by saying that this vacuum is by far the worst vacuum I have ever used in my life! I could see this vacuum possibly being ok, if you were vacuuming a hardwood floor, or maybe even a carpet with absolutely no shag to it. However, if your carpet has any sort of shag, it will kill this vacuum cleaner in the matter of two to three uses! Please...save your money and get something that actually works!

More like, THREW it at the curb. Worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
I had it a year and just hated the thing. It would actually kick out a cloud of dust everytime I turned it on! Today, it started dropping dust and crap out onto the floor as I was vacuuming, and that was about all I could take. I ripped the cord out of the wall and threw it at the curb with the rest of the trash. It was very inexpensive on sale and I guess I thought I was getting a deal. My husband always says "Good things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't good." Well, in this particular instance, I would have to agree. No stars.

First I want to say this is a great vacuum cleaner for the price. I am reviewing this after having it for almost 5 years only to break after my husband thought it would be smart to vacuum up saw dust.

It seems as it is clogged somewhere inside and now does not suck up dirt as well.

I have to say I do not think it will vacuum up soil as pictured, but for daily vacuuming it works great, and I have 2 kids. It is very small so it needs to be emptied after each room, however I never have to buy a bag.

The filters and all of the components wash very easily in the bathtub to give it a fresh start every so often. I think I am going to try that before giving up and buying a new vacuum.

If you find it spitting dirt first empty the vacuum really simple. If that didn't work check the washable mesh filter you may need to wash and dry it. If that doesn't work make sure long hairs have not entangled the brush and stopped it from spinning. They are easily cut with scissors. If that does not work you can buy a new HEPA filter if that is clogged, but a temporary fix while your order more is to rinse the filter and let it dry well then put it back in.

These steps work for pretty much any vacuum cleaner, but have worked well for us over the years.

What I really like about this one is that it works very well on both carpets and hardwood floors as well as tile. Makes cleaning a lot faster when I don't feel like getting out the broom.

Bottom line if you need a vacuum to do shop work, or clean up pet hair, buy ones specifically designed for those circumstances.

The vacuum is VERY tiny. It doesn't hold a lot and needs to be emptied every time I use it. Although, for clarity sake, I do own two dogs and a cat, although one dog is a non-shedding dog. This is not a vacuum for pet owners. Also, the vacuum only lasted one year. We vacuum every other day so it did quite a bit of use, but still, I expected it to last longer. I would have been okay with emptying it so often if only it would have lasted.

Got this for my daughter as a wedding present. Second time they used it brown debris appeared on the floor and a bad odor emitted from the vacuum. Don't waste your money on this product, it is a dud.

You get what you pay for. This vacuum overheats and the hose clogs constantly. Garbage!

....because it is not intended for large family use: it's small so it clogs all the time, spills the trash right out, gets full quickly, the belt broke only few months after use. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because it might be perfect for a single person with no pets or children with small living space.

I have not tried this product myself yet, I intend to do so in the near future. I purchased this product for my son who is away in college, he has found the Dirt Devil Quick Vac very easy to use and maneuver, so much so that his friends have loved to borrow it from him. I find the Dirt Devil Quick Vac reasonably priced for college students, easy to take along to campus dorm and it is easy to store away.
