I have two big dogs and 2 cats that shed like crazy. Plus we live in florida and we have a lot of sand in our back yard which the dogs track in and onto my carpet. We are expecting a baby in march and I am in the "nesting" mode and felt nothing was clean enough and I need all new equipment to clean it with! My wonderful husband purchased the dynamite quick vac to help make things easier and WOW!!!! This little thing is AMAZING! I didnt know how much hair and dirt I was living with. I vacumed once to get the big stuff and all the hair. Then I emptied the container and vacumed again and couldnt beleive it picked up MORE hair and dirt!! It doesnt quit! Plus with the hepa filter it makes me feel extra good about the purchase and the air we are breathing. And you cant beat the price. I HIGHLY suggest this to any pet owner. Expecially ones with children!

...dollar for dollar. I too was suprised by the amount of dirt this sucks up. It's amazing to see the dirt swirling inside the canister. It's very compact and light. The handle can be pushed inside the housing. It's easy to get under tables and such because you can push the body almost to the floor. The cord is long and is made of soft plastic. The cord even feels good in your hand. On the cannister is a label stating the filter# and belt#. This is really a quality product. For example, I was carrying this wrong and dropped it from about 4 feet. I instantly thought the plastic would be broken. I looked it over and saw nothing. I am using this at lake cabin, but am seriously thinking about getting this for my home.

I have this vacuum. I love the way it picks up, but dislike the filter. It's not easy to clean....hard to get the dust out of the crevices of the fluted filter. I use a toothbrush, then wash the filter. My sister uses a toothpick...Either way, it's a pain to clean! Otherwise, the vacuum is great! It's a quick pick me up vacuum for me. I don't use it for heavy cleaning. I do clean the filter after aproximately 3 uses.

This little vacuum is perfect if you don't have a lot of space. Not only is it cute, but you couldn't ask for better suction. Sure, the filter isn't incredibly easy to clean, but it is a FILTER. I have a long haired cat in a small apartment and I was very impressed with how clean it got my carpet. The cord is nice and long, any replacement parts numbers, such as the filter and belt, are marked on the vacuum clearly, and it is very light weight and easy to manuever. I highly recommend this vacuum, especially if you live in a confined space.

My rommate had a nice sturdy Bissell bagless vacuum cleaner with some accesories and height adjustment. After he moved out I had to buy a new one and I wanted something smaller and bagless as well, no need of tons of accessories which you won't ever use ...

The size of the product is excellent if you really don't need to clean very big areas. The suction is fine for carpet cleaning altough the noise level is quite high when operating. Anyways, withstanding a little noise for some minutes is not a big deal. The handling bar is a little bit flimsy and is a little bit too short in my opinion.

The power cord is very long so I can almost clean the hole appartment without having to unplug it. Its 90ş hinge allows you to reach under certain furniture without struggling, which I find particulary usefull.

To empty the waste deposit you have to remove the air filter first, nothing difficult. Take some secons to clean the filter a little bit, which sometimes is a little bit tedious, and you are on the way again.

For me it's an excellent vacuum cleaner given its price.

This Dirt Devil Bagless Vacuum is a powerful little machine. Its lightweight and great if you have a smaller home or only need it for small jobs. Even if you have a large home but can only afford a inexpensive vacuum, then this little baby is for you too (you may just have to empty the cannister a few extra times). Its easy to manipulate and its suction is absolutely unbelievable. You will be shocked at how much "it sucks". Its great. Besides its regular function, the cannister is easy to empty after use and the hose attachment is convenient as well, especially for nooks the vacuum won't fit in and for doing your steps. It also works equally well on both carpet and tile/wooden floors.

There's nothing really bad to say about this vacuum for its meager price tag. I would easily pay twice as much for the same machine. All in all, a great vacuum for a small price.

This is a good small area vacuum that does a very good job of cleaning, but it should not replace a bigger vacuum for house size jobs.

Compared to an average vacuum, this one is smaller and a bit lighter. However, it doesn't seem particularly light in use since the weight is all at the bottom, and the handle doesn't give it as good of leverage as on a standard vac. The cleaning width is also a bit smaller than an average vac.

This vac does clean very well, but I wish it had a few setting for heighth, etc., to optimize it for all conditions. The canister is easy to remove and empty, but it would be nice if there was an easier way to clean the air filter. The filter and belt are clearly marked, so it's easy to buy the correct replacement (although not always easy to find). You can get the filter for $7.99 from the Dirt Devil store. BTW, they recommend changing the filter every 6 months.

Two things I disliked. Althought the handle locks well, it does leave a little play. After doing an entire house, this little "give" increase the stress placed on your wrist. Also, the cord retainer doesn't work well at all. They should have placed a clip on the cord, and a place to attach it.

Overall, a reasonably priced vacuum for people with small areas to clean, but a bit still too heavy for my 79 year old mother to use for the entire house.

After graduating college and getting a job, I decided to look at all of the things I was given free from my parents to see if they all really worked. The old Hoover vac had to go. I am currently 25 and it is 27 years old! I ran the Hoover once through my entire apartment and then went shopping for a new one. I found this Dirt Devil and liked the fact that it was compact and light (Also that it was on sale for $50.) I took it home, set it up and ran it once through my apartment. I picked up an inch and a half of dust and road salt from last winter that the Hoover couldn't pick up, and a few bugs. It also did wonders on my kitchen and bathroom floor. Now I can start dating again and not be ashamed of my place! Hooray for Dirt Devil!!!

I am happy with my Dirt Devil and am impressed with its pick up ability.

It is very easy to clean out (just spill the dirt contents into the garbage) because all the dirt is conveniently distributed into an extra large cup that very simply detaches and reattaches to the mechanism.

The wire is extra long so you are able to vacuum two adjacent rooms without unplugging - always a time saver.

The only slight 'criticism' I have for this machine is where the company choose to place wire. Because the wire is fastened to the machine at the base, it is necessary to hold the wire up with one hand as you vacuum with the other (otherwise the wire gets in the way of vacuuming). This is a very minor inconvenience, and I wouldn't let this be a determining factor in whether one purchases this item or not.

this vacuum is great--it sucks up everything! i didn't realize how much cat hair had accumulated in/on our carpet till i used this baby and WATCHED the stuff pile up in the canister. this happens every time i vacuum, and i swear the hair isn't even visible on the carpet beforehand. it's a clear canister so you can see the results of the vacuum working--quite satisfying. the only downsides: 1) it's LOUD--esp in our little apt, and there's a high-pitched sound that hurts my ears a little. but it's bearble for a short period of time and my ears are relatively young. 2) emptying the canister is really simple, but can be a little messy. the filter gets caked up, and i just use a brush to get all the stuff out of the ridges. again, bearable--i wash my hands. 3) the base isn't that flat, so it can't get under low-lying furniture. but then, it's a vacuum cleaner and not a swiffer.

overall, a VERY useful vacuum, i LOVE the power (most vacuums i'd tried couldn't pick up my long hair from the rough carpet), it's light and easy to carry around, and the cord is nice and long. for the price it's a GREAT purchase. perfect for apt/condo/small house living.
