It is powerful (little loud and it does blow from the side vents quite strong). It has a little built in brush which is great for sofas. The basket is small and needs to be emptied frequently to get the full power of the vac. I wish it had a stick to I didn't have to bend the whole time I was using it. When it's clean it will pick up the scattered sand from the cat box which many others don't do and it does a great job on dog hair. It has a little extension nozzle for getting under the frig and in the corners. I use this and the Eureka Boss stick vac, with rotating brush for carpets, daily and only need to use my full size vacuum a couple times a month. It's definitely worth the money.

This hand vac is great! It has perfect suction and a good amount of run time. The suction hole is a good size and the debris cup is large, easy to dump and rinsable. Filters are super easy to find and order at dirtdevil.com. The quick flip crevice tool is very handy. This vacuum is very nice. I've owned it a month and use it often to clean up after my kids. It works beautifully.

I thought the crevis tool would be a real help..NOT. I bought two vacuums and within a month both of the crevis tools broke off! The suction area on the end of the vacuum does not meet with the floor very well making it very difficult to vacuum up anything.Save your money purchase a different design!

I had the same experience several others have had.
The crevice tool which folds down is poorly designed.
After two weeks, I flipped the clear plastic tube-like tool down and it cracked at the hinge. The vacuum itself is fine, but without the crevice tool its utility is gone. I recommend you pass by this item on your way to a better choice.

I should have read the reviews before I purchased the Dirt Devil. I had similar problems with the crevice tool, but the motor broke down before the tool had a chance to really make me crazy! It would start to whine like the RMP's were climbing into the red zone and a terrible burning smell would come out after a few minutes of use. I was so mad I just threw the whole thing away. Yesterday I bought Black and Decker's Dustbuster (7.2V) and am so much happier with it's performance.

I purchased this model to replace my black and decker one. It looks great, the suction isn't have as much as my old one. The thing I really hate about it is I wall mounted it and it keeps falling off of the wall, off of the cradle. Every time someone shuts the door , it falls off the wall. Now it looks like its 2 years old from all of the falls. I am going back to my black and decker next time.

This vaccum isn;t worth the price. The first thing to break was the crevice tool. It won't go back on when I use it for longer than five minutes it sounds like it's losing it charge. Buy som ething else . Next time I will buy black and decker.

This was the first Cordless Hand Vac we purchased and to our surprise we found it to be very handy and lightwieght, has good suction power and decent battery charge life. It does not have a blower and am not sure of the life of air filter. Overall we are satisfied to have this product specially for the price we got it for.

The hole in the end is way too small, it will hardly pick up crumbs. It's going in the garbage. I tried this because it was a little cheaper, never again will I deter from the Dustbuster brand, they've got it figured out..

Save your money and buy another brand. This hand held doesn't have the suction to pick up anything. Well maybe very little dust bunnies. My neighbor bought it and it didn't work for her. She gave it to me to see if perhaps I could get it to work. If I would have bought this product, I would have returned it the next day!!!!
