For the price I was really surprised with this little cleaner. I have two little kids and my carpets have taken a beating. I pulled this little thing out of the package and an hour later my carpets looked like the day we moved in.
Its not heavy-duty, there were some spots I pretreated and they did come out. It has a really quick set up. We just have carpet in our upstairs (3 bedrooms and a family room). If I had more carpet in the house, I probably would have gotten something bigger, but for my area its perfect.

Bottom line: If your looking for some monsterous commercial steam machine, drop the $400+ and buy one. If you want something economical, that does a great job and is easy to pull out at 3 am when the kids puke all over the carpet I highly recommend it.

I found this item for $99 at a local store and it works very well. I researched carpet cleaners priced up to $300 extensively before purchasing this model. It works wonderfully!! I followed the directions to the letter and it did an excellent job cleaning light beige carpets. It's not heavy and the cleaning solution is fairly inexpensive. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a moderately priced steamer.

I had an older version of this product with just a fixed brush. This product has a power brush and does an excellent job. We have a second home and we use an expensive Hoover Steamer at that location. This product does just as good of a job and it is more than half the price.

I could not be more happy with the Dirt Devil. Works better than the Bissell I paid over $300 for and much easier for my wife to handle.

I bought this unit when it was offered as a Gold Box Deal for $59.99. I figured, at that price, I couldn't really go wrong - which turned out to be correct. Of course, it's not really a true steamer, but at this price, that's a little much to expect. However, the warm water and solution do an excellent job of cleaning my wool area rugs and my three rooms of carpeting - as evidenced by the dirty water extracted. It was super easy to assemble and very easy to use and clean afterwards - which means I use it a lot more often than I would something more complicated and heavy. All in all, I am very happy with this little unit. It does exactly what it said it would and the price was great.

Wood Floors throught, but several small& large Oriental & Designer Rugs. Cleaned them all with this machine & they came out perfect. Saved hudred's and NO pick up/return fee's. Easy to use, light weight and long cord. Received before expected, totally satisfied.

The first time I used this machine, I was THRILLED with how well it worked. But even better, when I went to clean it, it was the easiest machine to take apart and put back together than I've ever seen. And the best part? It seems to have been designed to make SURE that it can be cleaned thoroughly! No nooks or crannies for dirt to hide in, and every part that needs to be rinsed thoroughly is easy to detach and re-attach. I'm impressed, and I'm sure that I'll used this steam cleaning machine happily for years!

Got this little steamer for $59 with free delivery! Very easy to use, although you do have to read the instructions carefully. It came with a small bottle of carpet shampoo, but no tools.
WE used it twice so far for the living room carpet which gets lots of use from our 2 year old. With the provided l"ight duty" cleaning solution, it took out minor stains and freshened upo the room very nicely. I think with some added vinegar one can clean even old stains better.
Light, easy to use and great for periodic clean ups. The carpet was not even wet after an hour. Overall a good product for a very good price.

Bought this producted delivered for 60. Cleaning a light beige 20 year old carpet that has been spot cleaned but never completely cleaned. I work small areas 8 by 10 or 10 by 15, so min furniture moving. 4 to 5 slow passes works to get out traffic pattern. The key is pre soak bad areas with spray bottle, and use home mixture. 1 gallon mix has 2 tablespoons white vinegar 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 to 1 1/2 cups powder Washing Soda desolved and add plan water to finish and 1 tablespoon Palomive Green Dish washing soap. For less then 10 bucks you can make all the cleaning solution you'll need. Spot clean wait 1/2 hour first pass and then 2nd pass wait 1 hour 2rd and fourth passes. Last pass clean water, and then just vacuum no juice pass. Use box fan to dry about 4 hours and wait 12 hours to replace furniture. The home mix I found on the web, and the claim is White vinegar on light colored carpeting keeps the pile from dark water staining. Also the white vinegar give ants the exit door. Looks like I'll be able to clean 600 square feet of carpeting for less then 70 bucks, and have the simplest way to patch clean quickly

I don't know why in one day this item was rated the top 1 for all vacuums in Amazon. Then I bought it. After using it, I found it does nothing except making my carpet wet.
