I'm a poor college student with a golden retriever. So, I needed a vacuum that would pick up all the pet hair (and there was a LOT!) for a decent price. I had asked for the Bissell Pet vacuum cleaner for Christmas, but seeing as I hadn't had a working vacuum since July (it's nearly November now), I decided that I should take matters into my own hands. So, I bought this vaccum at 100 dollars cheaper than the Bissell Pet Vacuum. The people that left poor reviews must have gotten defective merchandise, because this vacuum is amazing. I actually filled (and emptied) the canister six times, each time it was stuffed with dog hair. Yes, the vacuum is noisy, but it works really well for a great price.
Go buy it! It will inspire you to clean!

I purchased this product from Target because it had a $15 gift card promo. I have been through many vacuum cleaners, and thought maybe this one would live up to its name. I wish I had read the reviews here!! This horrible vacuum broke just after 2 months!!! It has stopped working all of a sudden. The suction was terrible as well - even after selecting power 5, it barely sucked all the dirt. I am sick and tired of the vacuums breaking down - is there no good one? I don't want to shell out $500 for a Dyson! I don't even have pets.

terrible! wish I'd read the reviews before I bought. I will be taking it back after only one use! VERY LOUD! NO SUCTION! Dirt gets trapped in filter immediately and then won't even pick up a piece of grass from the carpet with the hose. Have to have on the lowest carpet pile setting to even vacuum just regular pile carpet! Don't buy it!!!

I also purchased this from Target for $75. I've used it a total of about 10 times and I'm absolutely infuriated. After taking it apart and cleaning the lint out of it, it still shoots out dirt as I'm vaccuming and has little to no suction. I have to pull my old one out to picked up after this one. Urggg

I bought this item for mixed use floors: wood and carpet. The vacuum has the suction of an 80 year old smoker. On wood floors, it just scatters dirt. On carpets, it does a little better, but not a lot. Not even the hose by itself works with any efficacy. For example, you could NOT suck up a penny with the vacuum no matter how hard you tried with ANY of its attachments.

...and not in a good way. Right out of the box, the first time I used this vacuum, I discovered that the handle would only go into two positions - upright and locked, or flat on the floor. It would not lock into a middle position, so if I wanted to move it from the hard floor to the rug, I had to pick up and lift the entire vacuum onto the rug, instead of just tilting the handle down to lift the front and roll it onto the rug.

Also, this vaccum is worthless on a hard wood or tile floor; as I roll it toward the stuff to be sucked up, it blows it right out behind the vacuum, especially very light stuff like hair or dust bunnies. The only place this vacuum does a halfway decent job is on a rug, and even then stuff like cat hair which tends to cling doesn't get picked up without being gone over a dozen times.

This vacuum is replacing an inexpensive, five year old Hoover, and I could tell an immediate difference between the sturdiness and quality of my old vacuum and this one. This one feels cheap and plastic-y. Don't waste your money on it. It's definitely not worth it!

I've had the vaccum for a day. The pros for me: 1) Light, but sturdy. 2) Easy to manuever. 3) Powerful cleaning - I was impressed with how much junk was in the dirt container after one use. 4) Easy to empty dirt container. 5) There is a power cord guide on the right side to help keep it out of the way. Cons: 1) Very loud, but I don't mind using ear plugs 2) When it's locked in upright position, it's difficult to wheel it to another area in that position, since the back is too low and scrapes the carpet.
Overall, considering the price, it's been a good machine.

This is probably the best vacuum I have ever owned, and you can't beat the price. The suction power is great, the attachments stay on, and the headlight is great. It is a little loud, but since when is a vacuum supposed to be quiet?

Pros: It's cheap and it seems to have good suction

Cons: The power cord comes out of the cleaner at the bottom near the floor and is hard to keep from running over- extremely inconvenient. The "power brush tool" stops spinning as soon as it has a little contact with the fabric on my couch or throw pillows- NOT good for removing pet hair. It's VERY loud.

Overall I wish I had read reviews before I purchased this dirt devil. Next time I will invest a little more money and getter a better quality cleaner.

I have wood flooring or tile in most of my house and it works great. On the floor it actually sucks up dirt and dust from a few inches away from the vacume, which I think is pretty neat. I have a more expensive vacume but its heavy and requires bags so its a pain to use. This one you just have to dump and dust the filter out. I've had mine for over a year with no problems. My Stepmom came over to use it recently and loved it so much that she's requested one. I do actually use it on carpet in a couple of rooms and it works pretty good. Overall if your trying to vacume thick carpet, this vacume is not for you but if you have tile, wood, or not thick of carpet this is a great vacume.
