My goodness!! This is a "must have" for any cd collection. Mr. Suhler knows his stuff and does it well. You're gonna' love this one whether you are into "pure" blues or just great guitar pickin'! Most songs are original, however, included are nice versions of Johnny Winter's "Dallas" and "Texas Easy Street" from Henry Thomas. This is one musician you are going to hear from again and again!

This is absolutely the best acoustic CD I have ever heard. From the beginning sounds of a country night on "Swamp Call" to the upbeat foot stompin' beat of "Dust Devil" at the end, this cd blows me away. Jim Suhler has really come of age with this cd. It shows his incredible versatility and talent as a writer, singer, guitar player....musician. If you're smart...you'll buy this cd & pop it in your player right away. You won't regret it! Not one minute of it!

I've been going to see this guy since '95, got all his records, but this CD is so very, well, comforting to listen to. It has a great Texas country-blues feel to it with a little far-eastern influence thrown in. Very intimate! 5 stars!

This is an awesome acoustic CD from one of the premier guitar players around with his own band backing him up. We play this CD very often and have turned many people on the the real thing who knew nothing about real Texas. Thank you Jim and your tight and together band. A supurb CD - we never get tired of it and everybody loves it. Thanks again and my blessings to you in your loss.

This sounds of the old style country rock blues but I've met him in person a few times and he is underrated and I was at the concert in Ft. Worth Texas when he opened for Foreigner and frankly it blew me away and I haven't heard from him in quite some time, I prefer his fast paced stuff ('Skeletons In The Closet' comes to mind) and I met him at Blue Cat Blues in Dallas a few times and showed him a picture of himself jumping off the stage while he was in the middle of one of his solos he wanted me to give it to him but I had brought it in order for him to sign it and I've since lost it and I'm ashamed that I have lost it. But he'll always be remembered by me.

This Jim Suhler Album is a MUST HAVE for every blues lover. Jim is the most underrated bluesmusician I know. If you love Texas Blues you cannot afford not buying this album!

Once again Jim Suhler has produced a product that is pure heaven!! This CD (Dirt Road) is a must have!!! I own all of Jim Suhler's CD's and I strongley reccomend getting this cd. It presents Jim in a unique light that will satisfy people who love blues music or just pure, crisp, dynamic, sensational, mesmerizing, 100% heart & soul guitar work!! This cd also has some great percussion work as well. This cd has a little something for everyone.

How can this musican get any better than he already is ! Another great work of art. For anyone who likes Blues,Rock And/Or Blues Rock! Check this guy out!
