Very powerful...suction is much greater than on previous vac.

First one I received was broken (looked like it was a return, the packages had been opened).

I have owned various small cordless vacuum cleaners and this one by far has been the best!

Owned the DirtTamer "Deluxe" now for about 4 or 5 years. Needed to replace the rechargeable battery once about a year ago, but that is fairly par for the course, considering that I use it nearly everyday in my office, and in the car. Suction power is pretty amazing for a cordless, and better than the Dust Buster I tried. Also, easy to clean, which is nice. While it won't match the suction power of a plug-in-the-wall type vacuum, I think this is as good as it gets for a cordless.

Have used this vacuum for a month now and is works very well. Great suction, long lasting. The last Black & Decker vacuum we had never lasted longer than about 30 seconds before slowing down due to battery run-down. Have run this one for 3 to 4 minutes and it was sucking at full strength/battery power.

Stands head and shoulders over the normal hand vac. We keep it by the fireplace for daily use in the winter....for all the rug & hearth debris. Great power, pulls up everything, large or small, has solid weight, useful tools tucked into its dock. It doesn't discharge air sideways when cleaning, returns to a dock for recharging and its next use. (We keep it flat on the floor right to the side of the woodbox). It's a high 5.

We have an 8 year old V2100 model...and it's great. Nearly daily use, never replaced the battery (which I see is lead-acid, not NiCd) which still holds a charge fine, and still a strong vacuum. But, the last few months it doesn't reliably turn on. So, while I'll probably pull it apart to see if I can fix it, I'm also looking at their newer models. We had a Dirt Devil before the V2100, the DD was so useless I quickly gave it to a thrift store and picked the Dirt Tamer randomly...extremely pleased with it. I wouldn't consider another brand, and glad to see this quality hand-vac company is still making them. Engineering wins over marketing! American automobile companies will never understand this.

Followup: Got the new model for house use, the old model with the wonky switch retired to the garage. The new model is even better: stronger vacuum, LED light, seems a little lighter, includes HEPA filter. Filterstream improved on an already great hand vac.

Followup 2: Finally replaced the lead-acid battery in the old model with a new, similar battery from a local specialty store. It was easy to do, just remove some screws and unclip the battery leads. Now the old model works great in the garage! So not a bad switch at all. Reinforces my prior opinion that this is a great vac from a great company.

This is a excellent hand held vacuum. It has plenty of power and I like the bracket the supports it during the storage and charge phase. I do not run it for very long periods, so I cannot comment on that segment. However, for the several minutes that we usually use it, it maintains steady and even power. You can't go wrong with this one!

Have had mine for almost 20 years. Strong suction, easy to clean. Beats the others hands down. Buying a second one for new apartment, original still works fine.

Bought because of the recommendations. I think this with a squirt bottle of warm carpet cleaner works better than a these so called portable "steam" spot cleaners that are overpriced, have little suction power, and are pain to operate. Powerful for a battery powered vacuum. Well designed and built. Comes with some nice accessories including a squeegee.

I've had two different model FilterStream Cordless Vacuums, this one purchased recently and the other several years ago. My older one is still running fine, have replaced the battery in it twice over the years. The Supreme model is much more powerful than my first one, yet still runs for all the time I have ever needed it between charging. It is pretty noisy, but I suppose that's because of its power, so I can't complain really. One of the most useful small household appliances we've ever had - it gets used several times a month.
