The only reason I'm not giving this release five stars is because I'm being forced to pay for material I already own in order to obtain the six new songs on the CD. But that's really a minor complaint. As evidenced by their last two releases, George Thorogood and The Destroyers have been making amazingly good music lately, and this new album is surely no exception. It's easily as good as anything on Ride Till I Die or The Hard Stuff. Tail Dragger and Let Me Pass are excellent songs. As for the old tracks, they're the same versions found on Haircut, Boogie People, Born To Be Bad and Bad To The Bone, with the exception of Treat Her Right, which is the single edit version of the song--its first ever appearance on CD. They're all really good songs. True GT&D classics. If you already have them, no big deal. If you don't, you're in for a real treat.

Although there are only 6 "original" tracks on this album, they are well worth the asking price - George & The Destroyers still have it, especially since adding the new lead guitarist (Jim Suhler) a few years back. The first two tracks are awesome! "Let Me Pass" has a classic Johnny Cash beat with a rockin' rhythm. This is how music should sound - makes you want to get up & dance immediately & doesn't let go... & leaves you wanting more! Can't wait for the next album - or this coming Tuesday as we have tickets for their KC show! Hopefully they'll play all "Dirty Dozen"! Ride On Josephine! BUY THIS ALBUM!!!

plan and simple this is just what we've come to expect from george and the boys good old fashioned rock n roll with down and dirty blues feel courtesy of george's slide guitar. the 6 new tracks (8 if you have special edition)are all welcomed editions that rock as hard and as fast as anything he's ever done and the 6 old tracks(album cuts only hardcore fans would now) are all great tracks that manage to sound just as fresh as the new tracks.
all in all its a great album for any lover of rock n roll and if you dig this pick up his greatest hits(if you don't already have it)

Too cooooool...Best up tempo rock and blues around; similar to Stones meet Muddy Waters. Great for that road trip or put on at a party. I saw George and the Destoyers in concert in Phoenix, picked up the CD on the way home. Born Lover and Howlin' for my Baby are favorites off of Dirty Dozen.
Get a chance to see 'em on tour...do. Plays a couple songs off this CD. Tossed me his guitar slide after the encore; I'm a fan for life.

I like The Dirty Dozen alot! But his older albums are better. To me I think. It's nice to know that these boys are still around and playing good old time Rock & Roll and blues too.

Great Cd of great songs by George Thorogood and the Destroyers. This is 12 great Blues/Rock music that made him famous. If you are looking for a cd, that has a great collection of George THorogood Music and isn't a "greatest hits" cd or a cd with his more common songs you'd hear, this is the cd to get!

If you are an aficionado of jump blues, BUY THIS CD! Every single one of the "Dirty Dozen" songs on this album will have you bobbing your head, much like a bobble-head doll, tapping your feet, and feeling the urge to get up and dance. "Six Days on the Road" will MAKE you get up and dance. Masterful music, arrangements, and singing and guitar playing by George T.
