Talk about a title that just jumps right out at you. 'Dirty Old Men' makes you pick it up just too see what this book is about. And yeah... this book is EXACTLY what you think this book is about. Dirty. Old. Men. Funny thing is; everyone around me says that this is exactly how I'm going to turn out. Whatever, that's a whole 'nother story.... anyway... more about the book and less about my idiot friends and their hurtful judgments...

Let me say that I *almost* put this book down. The first two stories did not grab me because I have the attention span of a gnat. I will admit that it was partly my fault because I just saw the "Dirty Old Men" in the title and not the "and other stories". This book is very sexual and frank BUT not every story is like that. I mistakenly thought that they were. I kept reading because I have much respect for Oman and Zane, and I knew they wouldn't let me down. They didn't! Story #3 smacked me across my face like a bar fight in Tennessee on a Saturday night. I let loose huge sigh as if to say, "now THIS is what I want". And "this" is exactly what I got. I really enjoyed this collection of short stories because they told stories about the different kinds of "dirty old men".

A lot of these stories were sexual. Some stories told a story. Others had a moral. A number of them made me laugh. A couple had me shaking my head and quoting Redd Foxx; "you big dummy"! A few of them had me reading with my mouth hanging open. I read some stories thinking, "naaaawwww". Still others were meant to teach. Whatever the reasons were behind the stories they were very entertaining and extremely hot.

Omar said he was going to take a break from writing fiction for a while to focus on other things. Well whatever those things are, it¡¦s their gain and our loss. I certainly hope he comes back soon but if he doesn't, he definitely left us with something to remember him by. Geez that sounds like the brotha¡¦s dead huh? :-) He's not, but I will miss his fiction writing. If you're looking for a steamy, funny, sometimes deep short story collection, then I highly recommend this one.

Omar has done it again. One of the most talented writers in the business. This novel takes you through the minds of what men are really thinking. Different ages, opinions, actions and just pure animalistic thoughts they have when it comes to the game of hunting for that next female fix. This was a great read from begining to end.

I was a little skeptical about this book at first (which is why I rented it from the library) as Omar Tyree hasn't really come out with anything I enjoyed in a good while. This book was really good and the stories are very original and realistic. However, it falls short because of all the typos and poor writing grammar. It isn't just one or two but many! Omar? - if you are reading these reviews- you have been in the writing game for far too long for this careless editing - don't you care anymore? Good stories but the typos can be a turnoff.

This is the best thing Omar has done since "Leslie" and the best collection of short stories I've read in a loooong time. After I read the first two stories, I couldn't stop reading and didn't stop until I'd finished the book (around four in the morning!) It's hard to pick a favorite but if I had to one I'd choose "Sugar Daddy Rules."

These thought-provoking stories contain something for everyone: humor, sex, insight, entertainment, and inspiration. And if that's not enough, this is just some straight-up good reading.

Now what I'd like is for somebody to do a book about older women and younger men (hint, hint...)

If you don't read a lot of books, "Dirty Old Men" is definitely one you SHOULD read! And for the record, 'dirty old men should stay dirty until they are dead old men...' (quote from the late and great Redd Foxx)

First off I have to give my hats off to Omar Tyree. He has excellent writing skills. A few typos, maybe 5 of 6. It's not that big of a deal to me comparing other reads. He really did it this time. I remember as a little girl reading Flyy Girl.. I admired his writing style because I didn't have a father in my life and reading Omar Tyree's book was a way of gaining wisdom about guys and the games they play. So now reading "Dirty Old Men" as a young woman; the relationship between reader and writer has rekindled. Here we were again, I'm the student and Omar's teaching me the realities of what men REALLY think about. Though it's fiction the thoughts are there, so it's a possible reality. I have to admit I can be a bit naive at times and not really go beyond my wildest dreams. Arrested Development blew me the F**k away (for lack of words). Seriously, I never fathomed those thoughts. He definitely opened Pandora's box and had my juices flowing with all those very descriptive sexual stories . Now there's no turning back. Not that I'm into all that kinds of stuff.. But now I'm aware.. I've bitten the apple from the forbidden tree and it feels good.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was highly recommended to me so I added it to my book club reading list.

Very Interesting&Delightful Book to read. I love the way Omar Tyree is able to come up with all these different stories and character's. I wish some of the stories could have been longer,some of them left me wanting more of the story, happy to have found another good Author.

An anthology of stories dealing with older men & younger women relationships with some extra not dealing with the subject at all. As a man, I found a lot of these stories appealing and was able to relate, but not in the way that was published here, otherwise, I wouldn't have had the energy to write this review. Just that I was able to understand a lot of why the character reacted the way they did. Truly a book that a man would understand and some women appreciate. The other stories that didn't deal with the subject matter, such as ARRESTED DEVELOPEMENT & CONFLICTIONS, didn't belong in this collection, but held my interest anyway. If you're not into graphic sex, then stay away, cause this ain't the book for you. Not bashful by any stretch of the imagination, but was a decent read regardless.

The title drew me in for being so different from everything else on the bookshelf. I needed something sexual, exciting, and thought provoking all at once. Omar Tyree delivered. From the beginning I helplesly cheered for the oldie goldie sitting in the bar lusting after a younger woman. But at the same time he's devoted to his wife of several years. I like the fact that not every story was overly sexual but broad and detail enough to get your mouth wet and desire more. This was a great read and Omar did his thing as usual. Two thumbs all the way up!!!

The book I ordered was in excellent condition. I was very impressed and pleased.
