Book Description

A weekend in Hong Kong

During a decadent weekend in Hong Kong, Lee and her best friend Charlie encounter a slew of interesting characters. One of them is Stevie, a girl who ignites a spark in Lee. Can Stevie restore Lee's hope that Hong Kong is not totally void of lesbians?

Dirty Pleasure is a 5000-word stand-alone (prequel) short story, with the same characters and settings as the novel 'Come and Go'.

Praise for 'Come and Go'

"Imagine Sex and the City or The L Word, set in Hong Kong and you will have a hint of what the book has to offer. Come and Go is basically a unique Hong Kong version of lesbian drama."

"Come and Go is a slick, sweet and shockingly steamy read. The writing is light but lucid, expertly flirting with rosy-eyed romance but yanking the reader back to stark reality with accurate and assertive timing."

About the Author

Lee Harlem Robinson is a fictional character created for the blog 'Trying to Throw My Arms Around the World' by Hannelore Arbyn. In daily blog posts, Lee narrates the story of how she ended up in Hong Kong. "Dirty Pleasure' and 'Come and Go' pick up where 'Trying to Throw my Arms Around the World' stops and describe Lee's dramatic adventures in romance in 'that other city that never sleeps'.

Hannelore Arbyn is a thirty-three year old Belgian who moved to Hong Kong in the fall of 2010. In 2002 she started the lesbian entertainment blog 'Dykes and the City' and not long after founded the popular lesbian advice blog 'The Lesbian Question'. After a blog hiatus of a few years, the withdrawal from dyke drama and the creation of lesbian entertainment became so unbearable, she plunged into the world of blog fiction and invented Lee Harlem Robinson.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dirty Pleasure August 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have downloaded many short stories/insert of books free for the Kindle and this one actually kept my interest. It is well written and doesn't overdo anything. The different personalities in the book keep the witty humor coming and well constructed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read September 3, 2012

This seems to be a short story set in the same universe as a longer novel by the author. I think it's possibly a poorly chosen title - "Dirty Pleasure" sounds like some plotless smutfest, where this is actually an interesting character-driven story. I did find it a bit hard to follow who was who given the number of apparently similar friends introduced at the beginning but was able to sort it out before too long.

1.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't give it a lower rating September 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wasn't very dirty and definitely not a pleasure to read. Maybe I set my expectations too high, but I was expecting a dirty, sexy, story filled with action. Wow was I disappointed!
The story goes on and on and on with absolutely no action or sex at all.
Of course this is only my opinion, yours may vary. But if I were you, I'd find another story to read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just OK May 3, 2014

Just a very short story, not much to talk about. A prequel to purchasing another book but didn't hook me enough to care.

I didn't like that it left you hanging like there was another book to finish but didn't. I didn't expect to start a series
