This is a GREAT record. I've had a copy for a few months now -- I bought it at a show -- and it's great to know that it's getting national distribution now.I was never a fan of metal-type music, but this is really accessible stuff. Great sound, great songs, great band! It was produced by Jack Endino, who helmed the first Nirvana disc. How's that for a pedigree? Share and enjoy!

Really Rock,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dirty Power (Audio CD)
This is rock and roll the way it was meant to be - raw, stripped of overstylized b.s., balls to the wall, heat-seeking, hook-y hard rock. These guys deserve the recognition that this disc will undoubtedly produce. A debut that already sounds classic.

Sell all your furniture and food....,
By Peacepooch (Baltimore, MD) - See all my reviews

Hailing from San Fran, DIRTY POWER consists of Pat Goodwin on vox, Steve Perrone on gtr, Nick Ulman on bass, and Jeff Potts on the drums. This ravaging disc, produced by Jack Endino (ACCUSED, MUDHONEY) rocks like few albums I have ever heard. The band can crush your skull with SACRED REICH intensity on songs like the opener "LSD", or call to mind the riff-upon-riff frenzy of early KISS on tracks like "Asthma Pimp", "Penny Eyes" or the showstopping closer, "Gone". Goodwin and crew combine great ACE FREHLEY leadwork with a straight-ahead rock vibe a la SUPERSUCKERS on "Hey Superman" or the title track. Plus, the whole album sports a spectacular "Highway to Hell" vibe from track to track. If COC's "Wiseblood" was the "Beer Drinkers and Hellraisers" of the 90s, then DIRTY POWER is the new millennium's answer to "Shot Down in Flames" or "Problem Child"!!
