An undiscovered gem,

Tapping into the re-birth of the electro scene, this album was made in 2000, so therefore has to go down as one of the instigators of the electro-revival. Though as to how much knowledge your average electro listener has of this album is debatable. I wouldn't think much, which is a shame.Produced mainly using an iMac, this album sounds different to most of the records doing the rounds in the electro scene today. Whereas most other electro albums concentrate on the rougher electro sound, this album sounds smooth and polished. This maybe not to many people's tastes, but I would say give it a chance. It definitely has distinct influences from synth-pop, electro, techno, house, breakbeat and the bleep music scene of the early 90's, which can be heard on some tracks on the album. It isn't all straightforward instrumentals either, most of the songs on here have vocals, whether synthetic or from guest vocalists such as JB Rose...

Robo-Techno,

This album is for all lovers of Electro and Techno. It hasn't really received much attention, which surprises me as it's got some pretty scorchin' tunes on it. I'm not a techno-head as such, Electro is more of my thing, but if you like something a little different then I recomend this album - it's got a little bit of something for all electronic listeners.

"Mind Games" is an INCREDIBLE electroclash/techno song that ranks up there with Fischerspooner's "Emerge", Ladytron's "Seventeen" and Felix's "SilverScreenShowerScene"."Mind Games" itself is worth the price of the album if you are into big, thumping, electro singles. |
