4.0 out of 5 stars An indication of things to come..., September 6, 2003

The Dirty Sweet E.P. is a rerelease of the debut 12" release from Australian rock outfit Jet. From the blistering guitar intro of "Take It Or Leave It" their distinct raw rock sound is easy to pick. Borrowing heavily from influences such as the Rolling Stones, but at the same time bringing a fresh new outlook on rock music, Jet are definitely a band to look out for in the next decade. This E.P. is a great precursor to their forthcoming album "Get Born" and I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dirty Sweet EP, August 17, 2003

An outstanding EP, that will most certainly blow you away. Within the first minute of listening I was hooked. Resembling early Beatles and the rolling stones, it's hard to say this band isn't going to be huge. They certainly have got 2003 covered, and I'm eagerly awaiting the album. I'd advise this EP to any rock 'n' roll fan gagging to get their paws on a band that really put the rock back in rock 'n' roll.

4.0 out of 5 stars A taste of what is yet to come, September 17, 2004

This EP is awesome-It brings the roots of rock 'n' roll back to the forefront. I'm glad they decided to re-release it here in the States. It also goes to show you that it doesn't take a million dollar budget to make a decent recording. One complaint-It's only four songs-It's too short! Jet will be one the next-generation rock bands to dominate for years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars jet - full speed ahead, February 25, 2004

this cd is new to my collection, yet does not feel that way. the music is upbeat, yet soothing and seems very familiar. the music is a perfect blend of sounds new and old, and the music will last a very long time in listeners' ears.

5.0 out of 5 stars First release from the new it band, September 6, 2003

Jet are a hot new band out of Australia which lean heavily on their influences of ACDC and the Rolling Stones. The Dirty Sweet EP gives a nice taste of their sound and makes the listener hunger for more. Combining the driving guitar play of ACDC with the blues sound of The Stones shows where we can only hope rock will be going in the coming years.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, September 22, 2003

This band combines the influence of the greats (Stones, The Who) with exciting, fresh, rock n roll attitude and the result is this fantastic EP. Also recommend the album, Get Born. It is a stroke of genius.

Do you self a favor and pick up this EP from Jet, or the new album "BORN" when it's released. They've got a great energy and sound. Reminds me a lot of old AC/DC.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good rock n' roll, September 11, 2003

Jet's four song ep is pure rock....loud guitars, dirty vocals, and a good groove. Their sound reminds me alot of NYC's Bona Roba.
