4.0 out of 5 stars Groove August 2, 2007
Format:Audio CD
WELL I HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS ALBUM IS PRETTY DARN GOOD. IT HAS SOME GREAT HOOKS AND SOME CATCHY CHORUS'S FOR ANY FAN OF THE 80'S GENRE OF ROCK. ANY BASS PLAYER WOULD KNOW THAT THERE ARE SOME ORIGINAL NOTES IN HERE WORTHY OF PRAISE. PLUS TO COMPARE THEM TO WARRANT WOULD BE A COMPLIMENT SINCE WARRANT HAS SOLD A FEW PLATINUM RECORDS IN THEIR DAY. ANYWAY GREAT CD GREAT SONGS WISH THEY HAD A FOLLOW UP. ALSO I WILL SAY THIS IT DOES DESRVE 5 STARS INSTEAD OF THE 4 I PUT UP.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beau Nasty...Rocks!!!! August 29, 2006
By Rkbluez
Format:Audio CD
N. Page got it right...this CD is a classic...one of the best bands by far playing the style of music they did back then. It's hard to believe they didn't make an impact with this disc and all of the great material on it...they had riffs that kill and guitar solo's as good as any other band then. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in Providence, RI and they blew Love/Hate off the stage...how can a band be bad with the amount of pure talent they had. The other reviewer that said Tygers Of Pan Tangs lame version of Love Potion #9 is better than Beau Nasty's must be deaf...if ever there was a killer...and I mean killer cover version of Love Potion #9 you have to hear Beau Nasty's to believe it...total balls to the wall Rock 'n' Roll. The only problem I could see with this disc was the lousy cover art the label chose.

5.0 out of 5 stars classic slice of 80's US hard rock December 13, 2006
By N. Page
Format:Audio CD
absolutely love this kind of riff rock with melody . 'Shake it' is an all-time classic and the rendition of 'Love Potion no. 9' is by far and away the best version of this old chestnut that I've heard...the other reviewer kinda got it right ..but spoilt it with his star rating. This is easily a 5/5 ...enuff said !!

This band takes the cake. This album is not so good.It has about 2 or 3 good songs, but that's it.This group sounds almost exactly like Warrant! That is not good, that's bad because Warrant as themselves really suck also(with the exception of the Cherry Pie album)which has some decent work.

Only fans of 80's metal might want his,but I say buy everything else of 80's metal you want first and then buy this somewhere near dead last!

1.Shake It(7/10)Not bad.The chorus is passable and some good guitar work!

2.Goodbye Rosie(6/10)Not horrible,but not great either!

3.Gimme Lovin(6/10)About the same as the last track.

4.Paradise in the Sand(8/10)Not bad,a decent ballad. It's way better than Warrant's Heaven.I'll give it that much!

5.Dirty,but Well Dressed(7/10)Party style song about girls. Not bad!

6.Love to the Bone(2/10)Horrible song.Has a southern country style attemp to it.Guys in Beau Nasty you are not Cinderella! This is such copycat material!

7.Gemini(9/10)Has some cool guitar work. The riffs are great. This one is a good tune!

8.Piece of the Action(7/10)The intro riff is cool.Another good rocker.

9.Make A Wish(4/10)Another ballad song.I've heard enough ballads to go to Venus and Back, enough already! It's not as bad as Warrant's Heaven though.I'll still give it that merit.

10.Love Potion #9(7/10)The Tygers of PAN Tang's version is better!

This album is worth getting,if you are desperate for the tail end of the 80's metal/hair glam scene. Not a horrible album, but not very good.

Don't pay over 8 dollars for it! It is better than today's music still.

First, this sounds NOTHING like Warrant. The singer is all upper register, like Lizzy Borden without the range. Guitars are the chunka-chunka-whamy bar that just truges along. Drums is all pounding on one snare. Second, the Love Potion remake is barely recognizable as the original song, it is done so poorly. This is a CBS jumping on the hair metal bandwagon circa 1989. Formula by the numbers first song an anthem, fourth and ninth song ballads predictable formula that killed music like this. But my Amazon used copy is autographed by the band members..woo-hoo. Wonder what car wash these guys are working in today.
