This review is from: Disability Evaluation (Hardcover)
The chapter on psychiatric disability is only 5 pages long. The chapter, and the whole book, refers to impairment as much as to disability and refers alot to information in the AMA Guides.

The chapter contains such pearls as
- If you have schizophrenia, you should not work with firearms
- If you have panic disorder, you should not work as an airline pilot
- If you are a pedophile, you should not work with children

The pearls listed above are pretty much all the information in the section Diagnoses That Preclude Return to Work on page 860.

The AMA seriously needs to proof their books better. On page 858, paragraph number 4 states "two impairments may produce a disability greater than their sum," but the example they give is of a person with only one impairment. The 5th edition of the Guides and the associated books have similar issues.

A much better is A Physician's Guide To Return To Work.
