Editorial Reviews

Disappear is a brand new album from T.S.O.L. featuring original members Jack Grisham, Ron Emory, Mike Roche and newcomer Jay O'Brien on drums. Those who were not around to witness T.S.O.L. in their heyday can finally see for themselves why they've influen

I heard that TSOL had gotten back together and put out a new album a few years ago. Knowing that punk comebacks are often boring and sometimes even pathetic, I wasn't interested. Now I've finally checked out the album, and I must say I'm impressed. This sounds so much like early TSOL, I can hardly believe it. Most musicians seem to change their technique as the years go by, until they can't even play their own early material properly anymore. But this album sounds like TSOL could have recorded it back in the early 80s. I guess I can finally forgive them for the Change Today album and all of the utter crap that followed.

The more current TSOL album, Divided We Stand, is also good, but unfortunately doesn't seem to exhibit the classic TSOL sound.

TSOL has gone through numerous changes, at one point containing no original members. They've gone from old-school punk in the early 80s to metal in the late 80s. In Disappear three of the original four members, including singer Grisham, return to bring with them some of that old-school punk flavor that made them icons in the first place. I recommend buying this album, if not for the great music, for the financial support of a couple of aging punk icons.

I've been going to TSOL shows, since back in the dey, and now with this new album(disc), it sounds as if they never skipped a beat. (The only faultering period was when they strayed and went glam/metal) "Disappear" has been in my cd player so much that there are now lasered grooves in the disc! Matt, the reviewer, ought to go see the band play live and then reasess his views. Later PUNX

Glad to see TSOL back to the original guys that started the band. The other TSOL was OK at best, and seemed much to interested in "making it" as a glam rock band. Getting Allday/Deadbeat Dad drummer Jay O'Brien to guest on this album was way cool. Nice work - look forward to more albums to come.

This was the 1st TSOL album I bought, and I bought this one not knowing many of the tracks. I think this is a great release, comparable to the early 80's material that TSOL put out. I love the track, Disappear. Pyro is pretty good too though...

although the lead singer sounds almost like a woman, the guitars are great, and it really sounds like a continuance of their peculiar punk sound. I give it a thumbs up and def recommend it to your TSOL collection!

I've caught the originals live a few times over the last few years and it is nice to finally see a new album from them- nicer still, the album is damn good. Buy it. These guys still got it.
