Great way to help kids handle emergencies.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Disaster Blaster: A Kid's Guide to Being Home Alone (Paperback)
No matter how old they are when you leave the kids home alone, you'll still worry, "What if something happens while I'm gone?" Here's a great way for kids ages 8-14 to learn how to handle emergencies like fires, injuries, and intruders. The authors created a cast of characters who face big and small crises ... each with 3 possible solutions. You and your kids will learn a lot -- and maybe save something far more valuable than money!

My 9 almost 10 year old loved it. It is entertaining, but yet prepares him for worst case scenario. I haven't yet left him alone, but this book is a start for him to start preparing. We might break in a short period of time like 15 minutes or so.

Laura Szabo-Cohen is such a wonderful writer. I enjoyed reading the different stories she has in her book to teach children how to react when disasters happen.
