This is one of those books that if I would have it picked up in a bookstore I would have put it back--but instead I bought it online...This book doesnt stack up in terms of a cost/benefit analysis-- It is too expensive when one knows how short the book is and how quick of a read it is-- a good read, really- I enjoyed the book....Mr Norris is spot on...but, check it out from the library or get it used when it is paperback...

I really enjoyed this book but, if you think this will inspire you to go out and update your passport and go into the world's hellholes to offer assistance, then look for another book. This book tells it like it is. Yes, it is inspiring but you get a real life account of how hard and political this work really is.
