How sweet to be a cloud floating in the blue.....,

This is one of the best ,most blasted psychedelic albums that I've heard all year! This time around there are less electric guitars here, but this bunch make one of the trippiest acoustically based releases that I've heard, and I've heard some toasted-out albums in my time!
The vocals are a bit Skip Spence-ish,in that the singer seems to be floating farther away from his mind as he sings(but very euphorically),and the lyrics are very wild and (to me ) have a sense of humor to them. I mean at the same time the writers are obviously very into past psychedelic bands ,like the 13th Floor Elevators, they have a fun time with weird references and wild lyrical imagery(but not to the detriment of the classic psych feel of the music). This has a musical sound like the Byrds at times,...and possibly could be like "After Bathing At Baxters" Jefferson Airplane, jamming acousically with the Byrds while Skip Spence sings ,all after smoking a large quantity of hash....and how could you go wrong with that? In the end ,this is just a very tasty acoustic psych album, but also one that is a bit spaced-out too! This could be a future "classic"?!

Don't get me wrong. I like this album and the Skygreen Leapords are one of my favorite bands. But I was a little disapointed with this album. I have always like the "outerspaceness" of their previous albums. This is more conservative. It is not other-worldly like their pervious works, but grounded in the West Coast folk sound. Byrds...Which is nice. But I I hoped they would have blown my mind like their last EP.
The album has grown on me over this week, but...I feel I will be listening to their last couple albums and Ivytree again soon. Looking forward to the next one!
