Mary Simmons book "Discipline Me Right" is extremely well written with examples and fantastic tools for parents which offers an enlightened perspective of the emotional bantering that takes place when young people learn to express their individuality and desire a sense of freedom. This book will assist anyone who has had challenges in their relationships, not only with teenagers but with anyone.

Very practical information gleaned from teenagers themselves and added to professional expertise. Easy to read and implement with specific situations and how-to guides.

Our community has provided a parenting workshop for quite some time on how to redirect children's behavior to provide peace in the family. Many of the strategies and techniques taught in these sessions are "right-on" as told through the Tips from Teens in this book. The book is concise, easy to navigate and helps parents see through the eyes of the teens that all children need guidelines and rules (from toddler to teen). We have decided to give away copies at our sessions to support the parents once they complete the 6 week course. The book reminds us that we are really bringing up adults, not children, and that it's up to us as mentors and role models to help them become the type of adults we want in our society.

A fresh, inspiring book for parents. Ms. Simmons is concise, and wise in her advice. A book even a husband will get through.
