This timely book is an excellent tool in raising children. Its definitive, yet casual style takes the reader/ parent on a journey to the very foundation of loving discipline.It answers not just the "what" but the "why" of parenting from a Biblical perspective, with the added grace of a mother's touch. Whether you read the text in one sitting, or pause for reflection on the questions provided at the end of each chapter you will find yourself alternately smiling, thinking, laughing, soul-searching, and ultimately thanking God for the true wisdom He has so lovingly provided through His Word.

This is the best parenting book I've read, and I've read many. This book not only gives you great ideas on how to discipline with love and grace, but she also debunks many myths about discipline using Bible Scripture. I would recommend this book to all christian parents out there! I will re-read it many times!

This book shows practical ways to lovingly guide your children from a nurturing Christian perspective. Mrs. Chou explains why the "rod" verses that are so often used to support spanking are really intended to show us that we need to guide our children, not hit them.
