The Making of "Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray" (Part 1)

Biography

Change isn’t easy. But Seether vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Shaun Morgan understands that nothing worth accomplishing ever is. “When I was in rehab in 2006,” he recalls, embracing a sense of humorous selfawareness that comes with hindsight, “I learned that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.” In other words: evolution is key not… Read more in Amazon's Seether Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing......this CD is addictive, January 28, 2003

I can't begin to tell you how surprised I was when I first heard the CD. Seether is amazing. Shaun Morgan is hauntingly poetic. It reminds me of the first time I heard Kurt Cobain from Nirvana. It is chilling. Unbelievable tracks on this CD, including "Fine Again", "Driven Under"," Sympathetic", "Fade Away" and my new favorite "Broken". I can't stop listening to this CD. You don't get sick of hearing it, just need to hear it all the time. Seether is my new favorite band. They have struck a chord, and I predict will be a huge success. I can understand why SONY loved them as soon as they heard the CD.

This CD is so awesome! I am a fan of bands like Nirvana, Chevelle, Bush, even things like System of a Down and Disturbed, and i love this CD. I bought it two days ago and have listened to it non stop. These guys are the future of rock and don't get the credit they deserve. I'm a huge Nirvana fan and I have to say these guys are tied to Nirvana on my list of favorite bands (keep in mind Seether has released only one album). I would do a song-by-song review but every song is 10/10. From the raging aggression of "F**k It" (one of my favorite songs on the CD) to the calm, acoustic "Broken" to (my favorite song on the CD) the grunge sound of "69 Tea." There is no excuse not to buy this album. You will not regret it. However, if you are going to buy it, get the explicit lyrics version, as the clean version takes away from the mood of some songs. Every song is awesome. Go buy it! I garuntee you will love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dislcaimer Blows Me Away, November 23, 2003
This review is from: Disclaimer (Audio CD)
I couldn't believe this cd when i first heard it. It was as addictive as my Nirvana cd and i want to hear them both so much that sometimes I have to play them at the same time. Now that is a compliment to Seether. It amazes me that every single one of their songs is like something I've never heard before. My favorite song on the cd, "Sympathetic", is possibly one of the best songs ever. And "Broken" is a great song that is totally different from all the others. I didn't even think it was Seether when i heard it on the radio. All in all it is an awesome cd worth buying. ("All in all is all we are" - Nirvana)
