Amazing album,
This review is from: Disconnected (Audio CD)
This is just an opportunity to mention that the band has NOT broken up!
Their new album will be out on Beyond Control Records at some point. In the meantime, head over to their website (...) and check out their Media section, click on audio, and you'll find a nice surprise... Enjoy

Well, obviously mike smith knows jack about good music. he's just as stupid as every other linkin park hater out there. face it dude, there is nothing you say that is even remotely intelligent so I suggest you grow up a little. I can see how people would compare Dry Cell to Linkin Park, the vocalist of Dry Cell sounds A LOT like Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. But that's not a bad comparison overall, as Linkin Park is a great band, and yes, so is Dry Cell. Unfortunately, Linkin Park goes a bit on the cliche side sometimes, and Dry Cell follows suit. But for the most part Dry Cell hold their own in the music business and is definitely a band worth checking out.

Linkin Park Is a Disgrace,

Calling Dry Cell repetitive is only amplifying your igrnorance you pansy. If you wanna talk about repetitive...let's talk about Linkin Park's first album-whatever it's called....and then their second album-whatever it's called but remixed or some S*it- that's repetitive chief. Wait, their new album....and then the same songs with Jay-Z. That's repetitive captain. I hope you come back and read this and realize what a douche you are. Dry Cell is a quality band and it's a shame how Linkin Park got sore when Dry Cell got popular. Linkin Park made Dry Cell break up because they have similar sounds. Does this mean Linkin Park will make my colon break up because when i rip ass it sounds better then them?

Dry Cell is an AWESOME band,

This is how main-stream rock should be defined. Dry Cell is a young band for the most part, and could easily be confused for Linkin Park, but I can assure you that though the two bands' sounds are similar, they are worlds apart. One song you may have heard was "Body Crumbles" on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack - that was Dry Cell. The song is catchy, fast, and very *rock*. Dry Cell is an awesome band - I think that "Sick" is the only song they have that has any curse words in it, actually. It's a relief to get away from music where censorable words are present every other word. Take a listen. Dry Cell is an awesome band; when you can get your hands on a CD of theirs, I suggest you do so.

An Excellent c.d to me!,

Every song is catchy you cant help but hum or sing along. Dry Cell is extremely talented for their young age.Every song on the c.d. would be 10/10 9/10 or 8/10. Under The Sun would have to be my favourite, it was the first song I heard and it has a very catchy beat. Last Time would have to be my least favourite, its got a good beat and all its just too slow for me.

As much as people compare them to Linkin Park, the could not possibly back it up with any support to cinvince me that they are correct. Their style differs from Linkin Park in so many ways... that it baffles my mind as to what others see that draws them to that conclusion. This band captured my attention with their Music Video "Body Crumbles" on Launch years ago. I did not find them through any movie soundtrack as did other fans... This band has a style of their own and does not depress you like other nu-metal bands may. Their energy is positively charged with a mysterious element which I cannot put my finger on. Download their album at www.impurvisions.com and find out for yourself... This band will surely be big one day, until then--I will continue to listen to them and watch them grow!

They still haven't released it why?,

There are few bands out there that can take Linkin Park's sound and improve on it. Dry Cell is one of the few that has been able to accomplish this feat with amzing success. I was lucky enough to have a friend who had "Disconnected" because it hasn't been released yet. Before I acquired this CD from him, I had only heard "Body Crumbles" off of Madden Football 2003, and it was the best song on the game's soundtrack. From "Disconnected" (the heaviest song on the CD) to "Under the Sun" (the smoothest song on the CD) to the reprive of "Last Time" (the most melodic song on the CD) Dry Cell seems to hit everything perfectly. My only discrepency with it is their feeble attempt to try to imitate Linkin Park's rap-rock sound on the song "Brave" but besides that, the CD is excellent. Warner Brothers is really missing out on some big bucks by not releasing this, and they should do it ASAP.

Alright, so I still think LP is the best metal band around (more so their underground than mainstream music, but its all good). Where LP can pack loads and loads of emotion into an album, Dry Cell do it just as well without making you feel depressed. Now, I got nothing against depressing metal, but you need a break from it sometimes, right? Dry Cell's Disconnected is that break. Also check out the equally awesome trio-EP by Dry Cell, downloadable off of www.sirenrock.com

Please don't let people take advantage of you, do NOT pay $100 for this album. The band is giving the album away for FREE, sure there's no cover or cd, but you get all 12 tracks, plus tracks that aren't on the album which is a bonus. Here go to this website and don't be taken for a fool. http://impurvisions.com/audio.php
