I'm married to a spanish man and have always wanted to learn the dances from his culture. Granted, the dances on this dvd are a lot more americanized than the actual thing at times, but i can definitely keep up now. Each dance is broken down and repeated a lot of times--they teach the men's steps 3 or 4 times, as well as the women's steps, and then both men and women together, then they finally do it quickly to put it all together. So if you're someone who needs to see it a lot before you get it, this is perfect. The only funny thing is that the teachers speak with this british-like accent, which i wouldn't expect for a latin theme, but hey it's still great. The music is even good. And it's definitely a workout. This was worth my money, most definitely.

the instructions are very easy to follow. a beginner dancer can easily learn the steps. we are using the dvd to reinforce what we are learning in a dance class we are taking and use it to practice. you could easily learn the dances directly from the dvd.

The editing on this DVD is poor at times, with flashes of cut sections, narration and video not in time together, and an incorrect heading in one section. But aside from those annoying details, this DVD is very good. The narrated instructions and video are very clear. I literally learned to cha-cha without even getting up.

You could learn the steps with these instructors, but they are very stiff and seem like robots. Not my idea of fun instruction. Found it hard to concentrate on lesson.

This DVD is a horrible example of Latin dancing. The steps are extremely difficult to follow mainly because they are shown at such a slow pace that it makes it more challenging. I have taught ballroom dancing and this dvd made it hard for me to follow. It's not enjoyable to watch and there are errors on the dvd itself where there is supposed to be dancing and there isn't. Even for a beginner this dvd is not worth buying- you could learn more from reading on line how to do a dance rather then attempting to watch this video.

This has got to be the worse introduction to Latin Dancing I have ever seen. It looked like it was shot with a home video & spliced together poorly. The deadpan personalities made it almost comical. I bought this after reading a few positive reviews especially the one from the woman who was married to a "Spanish man" & now she could keep up with him!

Save your money for popcorn & watch "Dancing with the Stars" on television, you'll learn more from the amateurs!

This is a DVD produced by British Professional Ballroom Champion dancers Simon & Heidi Cruwys. It is easy to follow and I have studied it for some time (having borrowed a copy from the local Library). If you would like to
learn the steps for Rumba,Cha-Cha,Rock and Roll and the SAMBA, then this is excellent. Once you are familiar with the basic steps you can then interpret the rhythm and movements to your liking.
