Bravo! I bought this book to learn more about Chardin and I came away with so much! It is a small book crammed with information and photos. Worth the time and money!

This book for its size is packed with information and has many photos of Chardin's work. It is written well, and doesn't go on in great length with overly boring technical babble. I would suggest it to anyone who interested in Painting or Art History.

This is a small book about an artist, which means that the images, though good quality, are quite small. Given that inherent limitation, this is a lucid, readable introduction to Chardin. And the small size makes it quite convenient to shlep along to the museum. In short, well worth the price.

Great little soft back book on well known still life artist....Learn influences on Chardin's life and see his work....Any still life artist should know about Chardin.
I purchased this as I have been painting still life like the old Master's...I am not disappointed.
