5.0 out of 5 stars Really clear writing; good info, July 11, 2002

Excellent book for both beginners and intermediate developers. I learned Fusebox the hard way, piecing together info from various sites. It wasn't easy, but Fusebox was worth it. Now, I manage a team of developers, all of who use FB. We find it usually takes people about a week of working with it to really "get it". We hired two new people, gave them this book, and when they finished they "got it" more than some of my older developers! Anyway, a very good book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very clear and easy to understand, August 5, 2002

I own both this book and Nat and Joe's book. Both are very good, but this one excels at being concise and to the point. I've had two people who I tried to explain Fusebox to, but they couldn't get it. I gave them Discovering Fusebox and they "got it".

Extremely clear with tutorials and example app. The book doesn't cover the Flip methodology, so if you want that, you might want to buy Nat's book too.

Techpedition is a navigation into knowledge. That what written on the front cover and they deliver! This book gave me it is worth within the first three chapters. I bought other books on the subject; they were great but left me struggling figuring out the geeky terms and confused. Fusebox can be very complex and they covered it marvellously but where do you turn too to understand the basics of the Fusebox architecture?

I admit that could not pay for the high costs of a course. Then Hal Helms and John Quarto-vonTivadar came out with just what I needed. They have thought to thousands and they offered me there knowledge in a way that encourages me to jump in and enjoy in a concise manner without prior knowledge.

The author's takes us in a friendly manner in incremental steps to grasp the fundamentals that made me think for myself. The book aims the technical person wanting to jump in without studying a brick of paper. Consider it your personal tutor. It worked for me. You will be thinking like a web architect in no times flat!
