This book is indeed great for homeschooling, but it is wonderfully disguised as 'just a fun book,' which, in my case was helpful, because while my son loves puzzles, he hates to think he is actually doing 'work.' So, he didn't balk at this one, in fact, he welcomed it.
My son is 12, loves video games that are puzzle related, so he very much enjoyed the book. It teaches solid logic principles, but starts out easy enough so that it is not intimidating, but rather, it presents itself as nothing more than a fun activity. That is learning at it's best, isn't it? I was sad to see the book completed! I'm back, looking for a follow-up. :)

Very good book for homeschooling. The answer key is in the back of the book. Challenges the student in fun ways.
