Following a successful conducting and academic career, Susan left the academia world to honor her entrepreneurial spirit, and founded Alkamae in 2004 to help creative women transform their lives and make a difference in the world. Specializing in branding, niche clarity, and Law of Attraction based marketing, Susan combines her fresh start perspective with creative business acumen, helping entrepreneurial woman turn their passion into profit, take control of their financial future, and launch successful small businesses.
Dr. Susan L. Reid holds a Bachelor of Sacred Music degree from Westminster Choir College, a Master of Science degree in counseling and student personnel from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Music degree in comparative interpretation, instrumental conducting from the University of Surrey, England, and received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral conducting from Arizona State University.
Prior to ASU, Dr. Reid studied in England on a Rotary International Foundation Fellowship, and spent nine years in professional church ministry working in the areas of music, education, and youth. Dr. Reid has served on the faculty of James Madison University, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and Arizona State University.
