Over the years, as part of my conscious spiritual trip, I've been a student of astrology and admit that I've experienced astrological information overload. Discovering Your Soul Mission cuts through the myriad of techniques, jargon and data and gets to the essence of what astrology is about - a sacred tool to access soul and it's purpose on this earth planet. The concepts and techniques are presented clearly, simply and directly. No easy feat. This book makes contact beyond the intellect. It goes to the essence and makes this information accessibile to the masses. It puts soul where it belongs. Right here. Right now.

Your book really has affected the way I think about life and has filled in some gaps/reinforced my philosophy about life in a way that I find fun and deeply meaningful at the same time -- a great combination! Kudos to you on presenting the material in such an easy-to-follow manner. Other books on related topics tend to lose some readers by becoming either too technical (read: dull) or too general (readers need enough specifics to analyze their lives). I've also had a great time incorporating some of the tangible items into my world -- soul potential symbols, serendipity symbols, etc. (being a Virgo you can imagine how much I relish in the little things). : )Thanks again.

Rarely does a book deliver the promise on the cover, but Discovering Your Soul Mission exceeds its purpose several fold. The authors provide an accessible road map for self discovery for every reader, regardless of their knowledge or belief in astrology. Informative, interactive, and insightful, Discovering Your Soul Mission presents valuable information to anyone who seeks help in the present, past or more importantly for their future. I am 47 and I finally can answer the question "What do you want to be when you grow up"? I absorbed this book in 2 days. If I had read this when I was a teenager I wouldn't be having the problems I am having now, and, the regrets I will always have to carry. This isn't just a book, it's a bible to constantly refer back to when you need reinforcement. I want my teenage daughter to read this. I think all teenagers should.

This is a wonderful book that explains how to discover your soul mission via karmic astrology, including all the necessary planet tables to do this. Perhaps this book was groundbreaking in astrology when it was first published in 1998, but no longer so. Many astrologers now include karmic astrology reports as one of the services they offer. However, this book provides exercises taking you one step further to clarifying your soul's mission; and these are not included in those reports you buy. If you enjoy doing step-by-step exercises, you'll enjoy this book and get a lot more out of it. It's really down to you to explore yourself and piece all the bits together to form the whole picture as it relates to you, your soul and your soul's mission.

Having read a bit on astrology, it wasn't until someone introduced the south & north nodes that I really began to get some practical and useful insights into my life journey.

From there I searched & found this work by Brady & St. Lifer on Karmic Astrology, essentially a lot more useful than just knowing the position of your Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. This book is simple, easy to read and follow, and is useful in that it provides a sense of more realistic and probable circumstances we may find ourselves along our life path that a more traditional astrological view.

A bit of a stretch to assert that you can "create the life you want" from using this book, because logically if re-incarnation and what the ancients say about the divine spark of intelligence being held in an earthly vessel (i.e. the human body), then we have already 'wanted' the planetary configuration we were born with. So I would suggest you can use this book to identify the patterns of behaviour that are 'unconscious' as a result of the influence karmically, of the planets on the EM field from the time of your birth. From there, use the exercises if they feel right, however this alone is unlikely to free you from karmic patterns, but will help if you combine this knowledge with other practice (such as Mantra based on softening your planetary alignments - once you know what they are!)

All said and done though, great value.

I just finished reading this book and my mind is still zinging from getting some of it's unconscious material directly poked. Also I found it described many of my life's patterns quite accurately. The mission described is about developing certain new types of energies, or qualities, that feel uncomfortable at first, since they put one in unfamiliar terrain. I was expecting to find more of a literal type of "lesson." (That's probably up to my freewill). Anyway, uncovering unconscious, negative beliefs, (I can now work on understanding and discarding), that cause certain undeniable behaviors of mine I found extremely useful. Also pin-pointing anger & guilt styles, along with "filtered" reception & expression of information was also right on and helpful. Cool book!

Myers-Briggs certification only helped me UNDERSTAND human behavior. Linda Brady's book has shown me how to CHANGE it!

As an astrologer, I appreciate the fresh, groundbreaking approach to combining the language of astrology with the philosophy of soul creation. However, I believe the layperson will find much in this book. The authors address a complex issue, that of our soul, and make it easily understood. This is really a philosophical handbook for life!
